Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomMinor: the Jumu restaurant's menu design is quite niche and we were not tempted to try it. Don't understand why the simple convenience food options (e.g. sandwiches) are only available as room service. Minor: the view from the room was a wall a few feet away. This wasn't an issue for us because it kept the heat and noise down, but it might be for some. Major: the AC in the room is really underpowered and the room was too hot at night. Reception is permanently chilly so I can only conclude that the AC is deliberately restricted in rooms as a cost saving policy. This is literally the only thing that stops my review being a perfect 10, but it is a significant enough issue that I wouldn't stay here again in summer unless fixed.
Excellent location, central but away from the mad parts of St Julians and Paceville. I was worried given that other reviews mentioned noise from the neighbourhood but there were absolutely zero issues with noise in our back room on the 4th floor, we never heard a thing from inside or outside the hotel. Every member of staff we interacted with was first class, they are all truly a credit to the hotel. Exceptional breakfast. The pools are not huge but were never overly busy despite it being peak season.

UkraineThe pools are quite small and not really designed for peak season. Good gym but also too small for high season. Keep in mind that the hotel is located almost in the heart of the youth nightlife area. However, the soundproofing is good. What I didn’t like is that one morning at around 6 a.m., after my workout at the gym, I found the lower pool completely occupied by young people who were drinking, smoking, and behaving loudly, apparently since the night before. I’m not sure the hotel staff should tolerate such behavior
A pleasant room, friendly staff, and a good (though a bit repetitive) breakfast. Convenient parking is included. I really appreciated that the staff allowed me to leave my car there a bit longer after check-out time

LithuaniaSeveral factors made the stay less ideal for vacation: • The nearest bay is within walking distance, but crowded. The area is currently surrounded by numerous construction cranes, making the view unattractive and the environment noisy. • The beach itself was quite dirty, and although there is a charge for sun-beds and umbrellas, no one seemed to maintain cleanliness. • The breakfast menu lacked creativity and variety, especially hot dishes. A more diverse and flavourful selection would be a welcome improvement. • The rooftop pool area was charming but not very comfortable. There were too few seating spots and shaded areas to escape the sun. The ground-level pool was shallow and quite dull, lacking features like water jets or currents that are common in more engaging pool designs.
We stayed at this hotel for five nights. While many aspects were impressive, it felt more suited for business travellers than for those seeking a relaxing holiday. The staff were helpful and attentive. The room design was modern with a comfortable atmosphere. One of the highlights was how well the room cleanliness was maintained. The complimentary toiletries were of excellent quality.

HungaryAlthough the breakfast was varied and delicious, unfortunately most of the tables were arranged in a way that guests trying to get to their seats would often bump into those already sitting. It would also be nice to have a power outlet in the bathroom so that we could dry our hair in front of the mirror there.
We enjoyed our stay in the hotel, the staff was kind and helpful, the room was clean and modern, and we really liked the cheerful design of the entire hotel. We especially enjoyed the lounge on the 9th floor, where drinks and snacks were always available, and in the afternoon, there was a proper afternoon tea with sandwiches, cakes, and other treats.

United KingdomAir conditioning wasn’t powerful enough, no turndown service, breakfast options could have been more varied, no sauna/steam room in spa area. Our guest room had a view of a solid wall of the adjacent hotel.
Underground car park, location in quieter part of St Julian’s, good gym, well-equipped rooms, friendly staff, lovely roof-top pool area. Good range of Gluten free options at breakfast buffet.

FranceThe spa, however, is a bit small. After our massage, we would have appreciated a relaxation room with a cup of tea to extend the experience—it would have been a lovely final touch. The sauna is quite compact, and there is no hammam, which might be worth noting for guests expecting a full wellness area.
We had an absolutely unforgettable stay at the Hyatt Centric Malta, where we celebrated a special birthday. From the moment we arrived, everything exceeded our expectations. We were delighted to be upgraded to the best suite in the hotel, with exclusive access to the Club Lounge, where delicious snacks and drinks were available throughout the day. The room was beautifully decorated for the occasion – a lovely surprise that made us feel truly special. We were also welcomed with a complimentary bottle of Prosecco to celebrate the birthday, which was such a thoughtful touch. A heartfelt thank you to Abir, who went above and beyond to arrange everything perfectly, and to Mariapaula for her kindness and attentiveness. The entire staff made us feel incredibly welcome and cared for at every moment. Despite being located in the lively Paceville district, the hotel is very quiet and relaxing. The breakfast buffet is exceptional, with a wide variety of high-quality options to suit every taste. Thank you again for this memorable stay and for turning such a special day into something even more magical. We can’t wait to return!

United KingdomPerfect stay and would definitely return.
We had an amazing 5 night stay at Hyatt Centric. Mohammed and Noman were amazing on the reception desk, always so accommodating and friendly. When we arrived our room was upgraded, there was a treat in the room for my friends birthday and also allowed us Club Access. I would definitely recommend Club Access as it gives you access to drinks, food and a chill place to hand out. Would definitely recommend if you are visiting Malta and the location is perfect to explore the island.

PolandNothing to write here - all was perfect.
One of the best hotels I ever stayed in. Hotel employees were extremly helpful, kind and professional at the same time. Roof swimming pool was amazing will great sun beds and chilling music. Second swimming pool in the hotel basement with hot water was perfect for kids when the sun was too strong to stay on the roof. Location is perfect, close to bus station, restaurants and local beach. I appreciate that after check out we could stay longer and use facilities.
