Michael, Ian and Eugene were lovely hosts we had a great time staying at Duncan Guesthouse. Our room was probably the best location in Marsaxlokk. I would recommend to anyone wanting a seaside holiday in Malta. 😃

The staff was very friendly and nice. They gave us directions and recommendations. The position of the property is just excellent, and you definitely need to spend some time on the terrace. We realised only on our last night that we could have spent more time there and enjoy a glass of wine. Everything was just perfect! Special thanks to Ian, thank you for your hospitality!

Very clean and tastefully refurbished throughout. The room had air-con which was a lovely bonus. The walk in shower was beautiful and worked well. Breakfast was plentiful, varied and very tasty, to suit both British and continental visitors. Best of all was the very friendly and personal service received by the staff and especially Michael, the owner who was exceptional. We would highly recommend Hotel Duncan and look forward to returning another time.

The host is just amazing. he helped us with different recommendations and was always very polite & friendly. It truly felt like if we are staying at our family or friend's place. the hotel is located just 2 min walk from multiple restaurants and small store , pharmacy which made it super convenient. the room was really big with vary spacious bathroom, cleaned each day.

Michael the host and his son Ian, couldn't have been more helpful and friendly. The place itself is immaculately clean with daily room cleaning and fresh towels. Excellent air conditioning as well! Breakfast was excellent with the usual fruit, cold meats, cheese, juices etc. plus, if you prefer a cooked breakfast of pancakes, omelette, bacon, eggs, sausage etc Ian will happily cook what you like - I'd give the Maltese black pudding a miss though :) Ideally located just a few metres from the harbour and all restaurants/shops/church/bus stops/taxi rank.

Everything was wonderful. The room exceeded my expectations — it was comfortable, clean, and beautifully designed with a modern interior. The breakfast was simple but satisfying. Only down side was a bit noisy from the street with open windows, I prefer to turn the Air-con off. But thats how a busy village sounds like. With closed windows it was ok.

It was easy to find, very good location. 15mins from the Airport. Easy access to other places on foot, by car or by bus. Valletta 35mins by bus. Shops, restaurants, ice cream shop, church, boat hire, beach and more right next to it or near by. Nicely refurbished, modern, very clean. Lovely helpful staff. Very generous breakfast with lots of choices, nice, clean breakfast room. Beautiful view from the roof terrace.

There was nothing not to like.

We were warmly welcomed by the very helpful and cheerful host, Michael. The place is spotlessly clean. Our room was spacious, well equipped, quiet, and very comfortable. It is very well situated close to the town, shops, and restaurants. Michael recommended an excellent restaurant directly across from the accommodation, 'Azure Bistro', which served excellent food. We also really enjoyed, 'Pretty Beach' just a 10 min bus ride away. It was a good sun and swimming spot, with loungers for hire. The buffet breakfast was very fresh, with plenty of choice and hot food to order. All in all, we had an excellent stay and would highly recommend it!

A Perfect Stay in Marsaxlokk!! We had an absolutely wonderful experience at Duncan's Guesthouse!! From the moment we booked, the communication was exceptional — quick responses, clear instructions, and so friendly. It made planning our trip so much easier and stress-free. The service was outstanding. Michael truly goes above and beyond to ensure you feel welcome and comfortable. From helpful local tips to thoughtful touches throughout the stay, nothing was too much trouble. You can really tell they care about their guests. The room was spotless, beautifully presented, and had everything we needed. The location was also ideal - we loved the beach and the Sunday market! Highly recommend this place to anyone visiting Malta. We’ll definitely be back!

Everything was really good. Nothing really to complain about. It is only recommended to close the balcony door and window at night because the noise from outside might disturb you. The sound insulation is good and there is air conditioning.

The staff is very friendly, helpful and hospitable. The hotel is very new with spacey and clean rooms that have all amenities. From the balcony, you can have a nice view of the port. The breakfast is also good and the staff takes care of the guests a lot. Very pleasant two-night stay! We could easily find parking and just next to the hotel there is a market and opposite a pharmacy. Nearby there are many restaurants and cafes.

The manager was very kind, he even prepared breakfast early in the morning before we left to the airport which we really appreciated. The location is perfect, the view from the terrace to the sea with small colorful boats and little market just outside the guesthouse was a great bonus. Bus stop is a few steps from there.

Everything was perfect.

Michael is a great host. He really takes care of his guests, he is kind and very helpful. The house and rooms are clean, comfortable. It's a place where you can feel like in your home. Location of the apartment is a big asset, every attraction of Marsaxlokk is pretty close, and it's a great base for a "longer journey". Breakfast were really good, trust me - you wake up and immediately start to think about scramble eggs with bacon :)

Room slightly claustrophobic, tv doesn't work, noisy young people in next room kept me awake till 3.00am (not manager's fault), breakfast good but coffee disappointing, no comfy chairs on terrace to relax.

Great position on the bay. Excellent manager & polite staff. Lovely terrace. Newly renovated.
