How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

The room had no natural light as no windows to the outside, room was cramped. Bathroom was not clean very hot and stuffy. Room unsafe if there was a fire in kitchen,we couldn’t get out.

Verified reviewThe location of this property was great, really close to lots of bars and restaurants and the waterfront. Access was secure and easy. The hosts were very responsive and happy to help with queries leading up to and during our trip. The room we had was great with a window to the street for ventilation, plus a dehumidifier in the room was good to have.
The aircon was quite noisy, however on our last evening I figured out how to keep it on without the noise - but it would have been nice to know this ahead of time so we didn’t struggle sleeping the nights prior, it was quite loud!

The first 3 nights were ok! Until the fourth night that 4 cockroaches appeared in our bathroom and the landlord didn’t reply to our message immediately. He said he would have the cleaner fix the problem the next day, she came and she didn’t clean the bathroom properly. She didn’t even change our towels who were on the floor. Our experience was bad.

Regarding the appearance of cockroaches — unfortunately, due to the hot summer climate in our region, this can occasionally happen and is quite common during the warmer months. Please rest assured that this is not a cleanliness issue. We carry out regular professional pest control to minimize the chances of this occurring, but unfortunately, it’s not something that can be completely eliminated 100%. In regard to the cleaning, we apologize if it did not meet your expectations. We were not informed that you were dissatisfied after the cleaner’s visit — had we known, we would have taken immediate action to address the issue, including replacing towels and ensuring the bathroom was cleaned thoroughly. We appreciate your comments, as they help us improve the experience for future guests. Verified reviewThe staff was very kind and helpful. All the necessities were available, and we had everything we needed. The TV even had Netflix installed. We were also very satisfied with how the apartment was equipped – everything was new and modern.
While we understand that this might be difficult to change, we felt a bit uncomfortable that our room didn’t have a proper window. The only window faced the interior of the building, so there was no fresh air circulation, and at times the room felt a bit warm and humid. We were okay with the fact that the bathroom was external, but the window in the bathroom looked directly toward the laundry area and kitchen. This made us feel a little uneasy when someone was in those spaces, as the window wasn’t fully covered and there was limited privacy.

Verified reviewIt has everything you can think of. The fully functional kitchen, washing machine and dryer for clothes, fridge, dehumidifyer, aircondition itd. Its close to the main street/coast so everything is near (bus stops, shops, pool bars etc.).

Verified reviewThe location was good, two streets away of the sea and there were few markets 3min walk away.
I would not recommend this place. I am a very simple person and I know to value people’s effort but this place was an unpleasant experience. The room is very claustrophobic and the cleanliness was at the lowest. When we came the bed had hair on the linen and in the bathroom there was a bed smelling and dirty rug on which we were supposed to put our feet on after the shower (we didn’t of course). The towels also didn’t smell very nice. The biggest problem to me were the cockroaches of which we weren’t told about but in the room there was a whole explanation on how to deal with them. First of all this is a problem that one has to communicate with the upcoming guest. The curtains were dirty and they had black stains on them and also the AC made some really loud noise and we couldn’t use it. When we asked for new bedsheets we waited for an answer as to when they would come to change them so that we can rearrange our things and our pillow cases. We didn’t get a reply and they went in and changed the bed sheets without our knowledge and they took both of our pillow cases. When the day came for the check out, they aggressively knocked on the door at 9:20 in the morning and they tried to get in the room even though our paid time in the room and our check out was at 10:00. For me this was a total disrespect of my privacy and totally unprofessional behavior. (And this is not a fault of the cleaning lady! There was some other woman demanding us to leave and ticking on her clock)

Verified reviewThe Property was easy to access with the given codes via text. Also it is very central in Sliema and the Sea is 2 min away. The location is perfect also since the Harbor is so close and you can easily walk to the ferry that brings you to Valletta. The location was the only really good thing about the property.
The second me and my friend entered the Room, we looked at each other and said „WTF did we book, shall we search for another hotel?“ We chose to stay since we only needed to sleep there and take showers, we didn’t speak any extra minute in that facility. It was really dirty, open teabags and sweets probably from the previous client, the fridge in our room smelled so bad, there were two windows, one of wich you couldn’t physically open since there was the wardrobe in front and the other lead to the “outside”, just a wall with all AC exhaust. We had our private bathroom outside of our room, it was dirty with a huge amount of spider eggs all over the wall. The windows of the bathroom led to the Washing machine and drier room, so if you wanted some natural light, get ready for anyone in the facility to see you naked. The wardrobe was also broken (least of all the problems) and on the floor it was extremely dirty, probably some very dirty shoes were placed there before our stay, would’ve taken 2 minutes to clean with a wet cloth. It just seemed like the cleaner (if there is one) came in only to make up our bed before we checked-in. We contacted Jessica multiple times after she asked us about how our stay was going, she read the messages and ignored us. We sent her another message the next day, still ignored, then we sent pictures of our stay and same thing. I didn’t want to leave a bad review so I ignored it. After checking out, I received a message from her asking me to leave her a 10/10 review and nothing less since that would harm the company and if something wasn’t to our liking, to text in that same chat what went wrong. I summed our stay once again and I got ignored once again.

The bathroom was too small and uncomfortable. The air extractor there was not powerful enough, making it humid and smelly at times.
