Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

CyprusThe smell in the bathroom, but nothing too strong, it was a very old building so that was normal.
Did you ever wish you could stay at a museum? If yes, then you should stay at this property! Staff & location were great, we loved our vintage room and the tour at the actual museum next door. We would 100% recommend this place.

United StatesI cannot think of anything worth mentioning. Going into town you have to be careful because it’s an old city with streets, and remember to pay for parking when you park.
The owner and staff were especially helpful. I was allowed to check in early. I was able to park in the shade and it was a quiet area. The view from our room, and breakfast room or spectacular.

A stunning property with amazing history and exceptional staff. We were made to feel very special. This was a unique experience and as guests we were treated to a personal tour of the palace by Marquis de Piro who was a wonderful story teller. Breakfast in the walled garden was a treat. AustraliaCasa Rocca Piccola was wonderful. It is a family home, a museum and a B&B. The Cosmo Suite we stayed in was lovely and thankfully air-conditioned as it was extremely hot during our stay. It is a palazzo with a long history and the private tour hosted by the Marquis De Piro for guests was really a highlight. Breakfast in the courtyard was a nice start to each day and the location is just a few minutes walk to the main street of Valletta.

RomaniaThe location is perfect in the heart of the old city. The room and the services exceeded our expectations. Everything shows a concern for the tiniest details you can think of so that guests feel really special and don't miss anything during their stay. Although intended as a city break, the trip turned into a journey back in time in a noble family member's shoes without the rigidness of the time's social demands. Thank you to the de Piro family for their commitment to protect the palace and its history and for the unique experience they have given us.

One of the best properties we have ever stayed in. It’s in a fantastic location close to all the visitor attractions. Steeped in history, we thoroughly enjoyed the private tour by the Marquis Nicolas de Piro. All staff were attentive, but Rodrigo was lovely. AustraliaBed was a bit firm for my liking, but that's only a personal preference.
Extraordinary bed and breakfast. Beautifully appointed rooms and the decor is classy. My room for my stay, the clock room, was spacious and stunning to look at. Had the most impressive shower..it was enormous. Staff are friendly, professional and so accommodating. Nothing was too much trouble, even allowing me to store my luggage for free when I was in Gozo. From the first communication to my leaving everything was stress free and relaxing. Thank you especially to the marquis for the tour of his home, it was heart-warming to see the pride he has in his family and amazing history. Special thanks to the lovely staff at breakfast time, your smiling faces each morning and kindness was appreciated.

CanadaStaying at Casa Rocca Piccola was a truly special experience. From the moment we arrived, we felt like guests in a noble family’s home, surrounded by charm, history, and character. We stayed in the Clock Room, which was spacious, elegant, and featured a large walk-in shower. It’s one of five rooms making it feel all the more exclusive. A highlight of our stay was the private tour given by the Marquis himself. His stories were engaging, filled with personal anecdotes and fascinating details about the home’s art and furniture. It gave us a deeper appreciation of the history all around us. Breakfasts in the courtyard were a treat, with a delicious selection of yogurt, cold cuts, fruit, coffee, and homemade baked goods. Kiku the parrot made occasional appearances, adding to the charm. We also appreciated the thoughtful touches like unlimited coffee and bottled water during our stay. The staff were incredibly kind and made us feel completely at home. Casa Rocca Piccola is a rare and unforgettable place. If you have the chance to stay here, don’t miss it.
