Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomThe balcony was a bit dirty and the balcony furnishing was cheap and also not very clean. The mugs provided didn't fit under the coffee machine so despite a good coffee machine we couldn't drink any which was a bit annoying. Water bottles were provided at the beginning of stay, but it would be nice to have the carafe replaced when there is room service as the tap water isn't very nice. Would have been nice to have a plug socket next to the beds for phone charging, but this is very minor criticism. The downstairs bar was not open and seemed to be out of operation. This was part of the reason we booked and it would have been nice if that was made clear
Friendly staff at breakfast and reception. The hotel was in a great location. A quieter spot in St Julians, but still close to the centre of town for the buzzing nightlife. The beds were comfortable and the room was nicely decorated. The bathroom was spacious in the deluxe room and clean and fresh clean towels were provided whenever there was room service which was nice. Breakfast had a lot of variety and was delicious. The poolside bar had lots of choice and service was friendly and also sold some good snacks, ice cream and was inexpensive. The pool was nice and clean. Other reviews mentioned beach towels cost money to rent, but I think this has been changed as beach towels were provided at reception at no additional cost. Air conditioning worked well.

GreeceThe only small issue was that the air conditioning blows directly onto the bed, and unfortunately the vents can't be adjusted because they are fixed. Apart from this minor issue, everything else was very good.
The hotel is in a very good location, as you can get around on foot. Only at night the area was a bit noisy, but not to a very disturbing degree. The breakfast was very rich, and you could find whatever you wanted. The room was spacious, functional, comfortable and clean.

BelgiumThey do have parking available but you had to pay to use it. Couple € per day . Which we did not use as we already have paid for the stay. Which we didn’t really like but then again not their fault .
The hotel was in a good spot. Lots of restaurants, beaches near by. Breakfast was included, a rooftop pool where you can get towel if you ask for them at the reception.

IrelandThe only plugs to charge devices were across the room, none near the beds. The Air-Con wasn't very strong. The rooms shown on the website are bright and airy, ours was dark and brown in colour.

IrelandThe mattress was very firm and the shower leaked onto the bathroom floor. The streets around the hotel were also very dirty on some days. The room could have also benefited from some more décor and storage.
The room was lovely and spacious. We had a small balcony which was a nice surprise. The mattress was incredibly firm but overall comfortable. The staff were happy to give us extra pillows and house keeping came to the room every day. Breakfast was nice with lots of hot and cold options. They also had plenty to choose from for a gluten free diet (fruit, yoghurt, omelettes) as well as a preprepared gluten free plate of biscuits, a muffin and some crackers. The location was really good, only a short walk from the main bus stops and Spinola bay which has lots of food options and 2 lovely swimming sports. The rooftop pool is also very convenient.

BelarusThere were some troubles with air conditioning system, but the team did their best to fix eveything on time.
It's a great option for active travellers would like to get both leisure and activities experience: two new blocks of the same hotel (both are with roof pools, both are modern and Quadro is the very new at all), nice breakfast included, perfect location in St Julian (3 min to the bus station, walking distance to the bay and night life with bars/clubs/casinos), good wi-fi connection.

HungaryThe hotel was really full of young people who were partying all the time. In the first evening in the neighbouring room they were slamming the doors and shouted the whole night, until midnight. So if you plan to go there to stay in a quiet area, this is not for you. The breakfast was not the best. Not to many choises.

IrelandWe had an issue with smell in our room eventually moved to another room on the second night. The pool can be a little dirty with debris. The pool in the hotel quatro which share rooms with Argento was tiny and the pool lining was lifting. Noise within the hotel was bad, no soundproof whatsoever. In addition we were attached to a building site so the drilling every morning was frustrating.
The beds were comfortable and the staff were extremely helpful and attentive. The pool in the main hotel was good but small. Location was was super central but also no street noise from the busier parts

United KingdomPillows were a bit flimsy. Downstairs hotel bar wasn't open. Pool bar times were a bit vague and it didn't open until 11.30am.
Lovely breakfast buffet with an excellent variety of fresh options: breads, fruit, continental, cereals & cooked items. Pool area was well laid out with plenty of sunny & shady spots. Room was spacious & very clean with efficient AC & a bath. Staff were very friendly and helpful.

The buffet breakfast was my highlight in the morning with a wide selection of cooked, cold and sweet dishes. You could also order different types of eggs and pancakes etc. the staff were very friendly and the roof top bar/pool had everything you needed for a simple but pleasant stay in the sunshine.

FinlandI had problems with the air conditioning, and as you know, Malta can be really hot. In the morning, water was coming from the roof in lobby area, so I can't say why the roof was leaking.
I was staying in brand new building so everything was modern. I liked the colors in the room and style what they had. Staff was helpful and the rooftop pool area was nice and not even crownded So you should definetly try that. Breakfast was varied.
