We came back to A LOT of ants in the living room one evening, however there was ant powder in the cupboard and this worked a treat.

We are a family of 2 adults, 15 year old, 5 year old and 7 month old baby. Our stay was for 6 nights. The property is large and the air con in each room was perfect! The lift was great for a warm evening after we’d been out all day. All appliances were sufficient and worked nicely. The apartment is well equipped with everything a family needs. There was a lovely hamper waiting for us and we were greeted by the host - whom was very welcoming. We had an electrical fault the first day we were there, however, it was fixed by an electrician, with the property owner present, within an hour on a Monday evening. The apartment has a lovely view.

Location was great, clean rocky beach 3 minutes, small sandy beach 5 minutes the lido and the old fishing port 10 minutes away. James prepared us a lovely welcome gift, and was every time ready to help us.

Bed was a little uncomfortable (Personal taste) and no Blankets or Duvets which would have been nice. Shower in en-suite needs attention.

Excellent location for us, superb views. Nice modern apartment and complex. James the host was very pleasant and left some provisions to welcome us that was a nice touch

The area the apartment is located isn't the prettiest/cleanest part of town but we chose Ullswater because we thought it would be quiet and relaxing. Unfortunately it is adjacent to a building site so our peace was shattered when the builders arrived and started work (loud banging etc) at 7am each weekday morning and continued to the end of the day. Obviously the building works next door are outwith the owners control as is the scruffiness of St Thomas Bay but these are both things had we known about would have infuenced us before booking Both bathrooms are a little tired but functional except for the shower in the ensuite bathroom. It leaks both from the base and the doors that don't close properly. There is insufficient hot water for 2 to have showers without waiting for it to heat up again and definitely not to run a bath (even if the plug fitted) but this probably doesn't matter when it's hot weather. Some cleaning, particularly pans/utensils, in the kitchen was necessary before using and to avoid the 'build up' I think a dishwasher would definitely be a plus. Malta isn't the place to go for beaches overall and we were aware of that but near Marsaskala is St Thomas bay - give it a miss and choose somewhere that has Blue Flag if you want access to the sea.

The apartment is lovely, very spacious, airy and secure. Having both rear and front balconies took care of both of us and any wet washing! There was just the 2 of us as we like a lot of space. I cannot say how practicable/relaxing it would be if there were 4 or 6 guests staying. Air conditioning is always a blessing and it works well in the 2 bedrooms we used. We didn't need it the living area as we had the lovely large patio doors open The kitchen is reasonably equipped to knock up a meal for 2 (although really all the pans need replacing). The 2 convenience stores close by were very useful but for a 'big shop' a car is necessary. The bus service is fantastic, frequent buses if the walk into and back from town is too much. We walked into town and got the bus home.

Construction site just next door, very loud from early morning. The deco of the flat is very dated.

Very close to beach, see view is great. Very big with three bedrooms.
