Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

MaltaThe outside steps and steep hill.
very clean hotel, very good staff, breakfast good. Location very good but since I suffer from knee pain the steps outside and the steep hill made it difficult for me to reach the main road by foot.

FranceWhat can be annoying is that the entrance is in a restaurant and you have to go to the restaurant room but you get used to it
This studio room was perfect, better than a simple bedroom, 20 m2, large balcony, bright, cleanliness, modern des with decoration. The geographic location in the bay, near transport, the cornice, restaurants well located. The staff are sympathetic

IrelandThe breakfast was excellent but could be a little more varied when staying for a week.
The staff and owners were friendly and helpful. The location, while a short distance from the main road, was quiet, we both slept well. The room was spotless and modern with kettle and mini bar fridge. The balcony was a pleasant place to enjoy a drink.

UkraineEverything was great except (from my own perspective) super soft mattress.
Location. One of the best points to research Malta. At the same time, you should understand that the hotel is located in the most noisy towns of Malta. Breakfast. There is a restaurant at the ground floor, called Georgia. It provides tasty breakfasts. You may/can wait up to 20-30 minutes for you breakfast. Staff. Friendly.

LuxembourgIf you do not book a breakfast in advance when reserving the room, you may not be able to have one if you decide to have it on the spot. I asked if I can have a breakfast the next day and I was told that this depends if guests have already booked breakfast, so that I can join. As such, it was not possible for me to have breakfast there during my stay.
The hotel is located in a nice and easily accessible area of St. Julien. The rooms have very good and new facilities. I liked the coffee machine that was available, as well as the balcony to chill out. The reception is within a very nice restaurant, with very good food by the way. People at reception were polite and attentive.

United StatesPerfect location in St. Julians, right at the top of Spinola Bay. It's not really a hotel in the true sense. The first floor is the Georgia Restaurant (great food) and the rooms occupy the top 5 floors (2 to a floor). There is just a desk for checking in (not manned 24/7), but the manager, Gretchel, was always available by phone. My room was clean and comfortable and had everything you'd expect in a good hotel. Very good value.

First of all, the Georgian staff is more than fantastic! The room was very big, well equipped. We loved the balcon evening time, while drinking some local wine. Even the breakfast is -let's say- a little boring, but on the contrary the Georgian Restaurant belongs to the hotel is excellent!

United StatesSuch a minor thing but my room had a very narrow balcony (simply historical building limitations). It was still very enjoyable to sit there in the mornings & afternoons where I had coffee. Just a little cramped.
This is both an exceptional and unique boutique hotel just steps from the heart of St Julian and the terminus of Spinola Bay. Couldn’t ask for a better location in my option - just out of the way of the throngs but you can be on the harbor promenade in under two minutes once exiting the hotel. Most unique entry ever! You walk right into and through a well known and very popular restaurant straight into the bar/reception/elevator to the 5 floors of rooms (just 10 total I believe). Mine was probably one of the most well appointed and thought out room designs I’ve been in - everything from environmental controls to lighting options to basic functionality. Comfortable bed and great expresso pod machine. Always sparkling clean & well maintained. Breakfast (mine was included) is ordered off an a la carte menu with great options. Staff are warm, personable and attentive to your needs. The last several years I’ve traveled I’ve stayed in a lot of boutique hotels or smaller properties - this one certainly stands out to me. (Pic is balcony view from 5th floor).

AustraliaThe hotel room was huge! It was well appointed, clean and in a great location close to restaurants, cafes, bars, shops, and the water. It had an amazing restaurant downstairs where the food was superb. I can't fault this little hotel at all. We will definitely return.
