Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

SwedenWe stayed at this hotel and had a mixed experience. We booked a standard room, which we knew wouldn’t have a balcony, but what we didn’t expect was that it had no windows at all. This was very disappointing. The room was also quite noisy – we could hear fireworks going on through the night – and it lacked basic amenities such as hooks for hanging clothes. The wardrobe only had fixed hangers, which made it impractical. The view from the breakfast area was much better than the food itself. The elevators were extremely slow, and sometimes only one of the two was working. We also couldn’t connect to the TV Wi-Fi despite following the instructions. We called the reception, who promised to send maintenance, but no one ever showed up, and we were too tired to follow up.
the positive side, the hotel’s partnership with Aqualuna across the street was a great bonus. Entrance was included, and even on our departure day (with a late flight), we were offered free entry again, luggage storage, and even a shower at the hotel to freshen up before leaving. The staff were very kind and helpful – a special thanks to Mister Antonio and Francesca for their hospitality.

NetherlandsI stayed in this hotel a couple of times and unfortunately, this time, the cleaning level of the bathroom was pretty low. In addition, the breakfast isn't great and you're better off getting it elsewhere. The strange rules about who gets to have breakfast upstairs and who downstairs make no sense. According to reception - if you have view from your room then you don't get access to the upstairs breakfast area which has amazing view. Sadly, 'view' in their case is also when your balcony is directly in front of another hotel balcony.
115 hotel is great. It's located right next to the beach club Aqua Luna which has free entrance to hotel guests. The rooms are spacious, and the hotel entrance is nice and welcoming.

United KingdomThe beds were new, so they were quite hard, and we found the pillows too soft, but that's preference. The hotels location does not give you the most 'scenic views' from the rooms, but you can see the harbour from the rooftop pool! There is no bar or restaurant in the hotel as yet. If hiring a car, parking around the hotel can be a bit hit and miss, but we always managed to get one, albeit if it was a short walk from the hotel.
We were originally booked into 115 The Strand, but were offered a free upgrade to the new Regional Hotel, and it was absolutely worth it! A brand new hotel with beautiful rooms! It was super clean, and the staff could not do enough to help across both hotels! They were very accomodating and helpful. You have free access to the pool, Aqualuna, which is about a 10-minute walk from the Regional. It is a nice pool, but it does get very busy. The a la carte breakfast was exceptional, and the location of the hotel means there are plenty of options for meals in the evenings! It is also easy to get around the island from where the hotel is situated. There is a small shop directly next door to the hotel, which is handy. We were a family of 10, over 4 rooms, and we can not thank everyone at the Regional and 115 The Strand for everything they did during our stay!

GermanyOur room was on 6th floor with seaview. Below and above the floor that part of the hotel was undergoing constructions. There wasnt big noise luckily enough, but still bit confusing. Also, we didn't know there been two options for breakfast: on 9th floor with a nice view or ground floor with no view...we got allocated to the "no view option" and only figured out during check out we could have ask for a change 😞.
Hotel is located close to ferry terminal to Valetta. Good breakfast, lobby and restaurant looks nice and newly renovated. Rooms are ok, even so when looking on details it was bit older. Beds very comfortable. Free use of Aqualuna which is a nice pool club opposite of the hotel.

United KingdomI had an accident on the day if arrival which led to a broken wrist an 9 hours spent in the emergency department of Mater Dei hospital...so I couldn't enjoy my family holiday in full. However, this was not due to the location. Anyway, for safety reasons ,I would sugest any visitors to be careful,as the floor in the rooms is made of tiles, which can be very slippery when are wet.
The location very nice. The staff very helpful and attentive. Good food.Lots of restaurants in the area.

IrelandWe were woken 2 mornings out of our 5 night stay by staff taping skirting boards outside our room at 8.30am. They were priming for painting walls - Unusual timing for hotel improvements during peak season at the beginning of August. Did interfere with the rest aspect of our trip The rooms we had were given were also very small and dark. We chose standard rooms, but these didn't look like the pictures, recommend paying extra for the nicer rooms The lifts took ages as there were only 2 serving the whole hotel and the power went out regularly which apparently is common across Malta during the summer
Great location if wanting to visit multiple locations around Malta <10min walk to the ferry to Valletta, 30mins from airport, 10mins drive to Valletta Access to Aqualuna was a huge plus for our group

FranceThe breakfast was pretty boring and when we wanted to get our laundry washed they said it would take along time which isn’t a great sales pitch. The image I saw on booking of the family room that I booked had a couch but the one we got seemed smaller without a couch.
It is in a good location with nice restaurants near by. The staff is friendly and our room was kept clean.

AlbaniaThe breakfast was a bit of a letdown, with limited options and not much variety to choose from. It felt quite basic, especially for a longer stay.
The location was absolutely perfect—very central and close to everything we needed. One of the highlights of our stay was the amazing view from the 9th and 10th floors; it was truly beautiful and made our experience more special. Also, the staff at the reception were excellent—very friendly and helpful, which made us feel welcome and well taken care of.

LatviaOverall, everything was very pleasant, though there were a few minor details worth noting. Something that may not be immediately noticeable is that the hotel accommodates a large number of guests. As a result, there were occasional delays with the elevator, and on one morning, I couldn't find a place to sit during breakfast. These are relatively small issues, but they may be important for some guests. One downside was the music by the pool—specifically, the choice of it. At times, it felt like being at a low-budget festival, with radio-friendly hits and remixes playing. On the bright side, the music was occasionally turned off, which was a welcome break.
A pleasant hotel in a fairly good location—very clean, recently renovated, and staffed by exceptionally friendly and helpful personnel. There are two lovely breakfast areas, including one on a rooftop terrace with a view. The breakfast selection is quite extensive, offering a well-rounded version of standard breakfast options. Hotel guests have access to a swimming pool, which is also very nice and attended by friendly staff. While this is not a luxury hotel, it truly excels within its class.

ItalyIf I had to mention one detail, it would be that I personally appreciate having a bidet in the bathroom, even though I fully understand it’s not a common fixture in some countries.
We had a very pleasant stay. The breakfast was varied and of good quality, with options to suit different tastes. The location was convenient, both for exploring the surroundings and for enjoying some peace and quiet. The pool was well maintained and perfect for a relaxing break. Overall, a very good choice.

PolandAmazing stay! The hotel was really great – perfect location with plenty of restaurants and cafes around. The room was very clean and cleaned daily, which made a big difference. Breakfasts were tasty and more than enough to start the day right. The view from the restaurant was absolutely beautiful – it made every meal even more enjoyable. A special thanks to Mr. Janek at the reception – such a kind and helpful person, always with a smile and ready to assist. People like him make your stay even more pleasant. I definitely recommend this place and would love to come back!
