How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

Verified reviewFriendly and helpful staff
Location (neither very charming nor particularly convenient), room dated and very basic, lack of life in the hotel / common areas not very appealing and room felt quite isolated somehow.

Verified reviewWe arrived early for check in and were able to use the facilities until our check in. Staff were extremely friendly, welcoming and helpful throughout our stay, they were quick to rectify any minor problems. Location excellent close to two beaches, restaurants and the supermarket. Guests have the option to buy drinks and snacks on site. Our room was so spacious with 2 balconies, well equipped kitchen area, full size fridge freezer, microwave and 2 plate electric hob plus enough utensils. Room air conditioned with additional ceiling fan and ample storage space, plus a safe. Bathroom was a good size There is a small pool, with a shower room and changing facilities near by. Beach towels are provided. To be honest one of the best rooms I have stayed in. Breakfast is served in your room, additional bonus, different breakfast options at reasonable prices.

Verified reviewVery good location and room. Very clean and comfortable for our short stay. The village has a few shops and bars on the beach, buses are frequent and it's a short hop into Fort de France and beyond. We didn't have a car and didn't need one. Reception staff were helpful and we didn't miss having a restaurant. Also good free WiFi and we were allowed to stay late on our last day to use the pool etc.

Verified reviewLocation and views. Friendly staff. Short walking distance to small beach area and some restaurants. Choice of pool or beach. Three beaches to choose from within walking distance.
The door lock failed to open and had to be repaired by the maintenance stff. Didn't have to wait too long for it to be fixed. Ceiling fan did not operate initially because someone had turned off the fan on the unit. Maintenace fixed this at the same time.

Verified reviewThe location is very convenient in a nice area. The view is unbeatable, with access to the sea and pleasant pool which also has a view. Everything was clean, the free and secured parking was a plus. Specification: I stayed two nights in the hotel, later than what I had originally booked.
The staff is almost comical given how rude and clumsy they were. The check-in took forever as it was messy and disorganised. They seem to insist to show you everything (including lights, ceiling fan button, how to close the balcony door etc) and put my key/card in an… empty bag I had to carry and return when leaving (quite silly). The entire thing lacked professionalism with staff talking over each other and discussing matters that should not be discussed in front of customers. They kept me standing and walking to show me the pool when I had an issue with my leg. The comments about “how fast I was” going up the stairs were clearly exaggerated showing a lack of touch on how to deal with injured / handicapped people (and all I had was a temporary sport injury). Also, I had an issue with my booking because of a traumatic event and the receptionist was very rude, hung up on me, and overall unhelpful. They refused to change me the date and in the end offered a discount for a future booking, which I felt compelled to accept event thoufh I had no desire to meet the person who had been so rude on the phone. The cherry on the cake was how that same receptionist saw me 15 minutes before check out at the pool and told me bluntly “you know the check out is in 15 minutes” as to ask me to move and hurry up. Even though I was already packed and was just going to get into my jeans with my bathing suit on. Instead he could have offered to help knowing I didn’t move well and the elevator was broken. Quite an unpleasant way to end the stay. The decor of the rooms is very bleak, as is that of the hotel. It lacks warmth and charm - everything is meant to be functional. I imagine the kitchenette on the balcony can be practical but they’re rather ugly. The lift was broken, and there was no indication of so I almost got stuck inside. There is limite food option for breakfast and dinner, at a price I found too expensive for the quality.
