Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomVery friendly and welcoming place, the staff (Danni & co) is very helpful and accommodating, always trying to help with whatever they can. I stayed there overall for about 7 nights in the beginning of February, but went to a different location for a couple of nights in the middle - so guys allowed me to leave most of my stuff there so I didn't have to carry around my european winter clothes. Always full of amazing people, some live there for an extended period of time as they work shifts as crew members on Martinique boats & yachts (touristic), some come for couple of days. Everyone tends to get together in the evening around the table for dinner, drinks, karaoke, table games or talks. You'll always find a good company for the evening and sometimes for the next day to share a car trip somewhere. Classic French breakfast with bread, butter & selection of confitures, sometimes comes with nice additions of fruits from the garden of Danni's mother. The kitchen is well equipped and maintained in quite good & clean condition. As typical for hostels, some free food is always available. Big shared bathroom. I never experienced huge queues or delays, though you'll have to take all your clothes into the shower cabin, but didn't feel like it was a big deal. People leave their toiletries at the end of the stay, so there's always leftovers of shampoo, toothpaste etc. There are only 2 bedrooms with 6 bunk-beds each (2 beds *3 levels each) and a couple of shared wardrobes. At 7 pm they switch aircon and if you have those beds that are directly on the line of the fresh air you might feel quite cold and there are no warm blankets, just sheets (but you can always ask for 1-2 extra sheets). There's also a hammock area outside where some people stayed if they couldn't book a bunk bed and had a gap in their booking. Different people take it differently, but there's a big dog that lives in the house.

United KingdomThe property could do with decluttering.
The real highlight of this beautiful property is Dani. She welcomes you with an open heart, pays attention to your needs and prepares the most delicious breakfast with freshly baked scones, bread and cakes. She also blends fresh fruit juices in the morning to serve to her guests too. She provided me with tons of local knowledge and we hatched a plan to get her dog (zuzu) to like me. An unforgettable stay on an unforgettable island. Thank you.

IndonesiaI thought that the living room could have a few more chairs to feel welcoming if there is more people that want to chill inside.
The host was really lovely. The accomodation itself, the other guests and the pets were also really great too.

RomaniaNothing to be honest.
Everything was amazing, very cozy, the breakfast was delicious and the owner, Dani, was very kind. Beds are comfortable and it is situated next to the road, so all the south coast is easy to access. Wild beach is nearby, the pool is great and the pets are adorable. I definitely recommend.

CanadaPretty dirty/messy but that can be expected at any hostel to a degree but yeah, there were a few moments that the place was pretty trashed.
It is a house that has been transformed into a hostel so you get the comforts of the home feel. Cute breakfast, there's a pool!

PolandThe place is really dirty, with zero security - no lockers, the rooms are open, and the gates and doors are open to anyone, at any time. No bathroom in the (overcrowded) room, so had to enter other people's rooms. The wifi was so weak I had to use my own data anyway. Paid for laundry, which was then not even hung but put in a waterproof bag, so it was rotten by the time I found it - also, my waterproof bag was washed against my will, so it is now completely useless as the material was destroyed. 10000% not recommended.

ItalyReally bad and unpolite service, I ask an help for to call a taxi, the owner just quickly told me to catch a bus in a rude way… no help at all from them… at the check in no one from the hostel owners was there and was a guest to welcome me… To pay beers (2,5 euro for a worm beer) and tax fee, in both case they didn’t give me the exact money back (1,5 euro tax fee I had to pay 2 euro because they don’t had change)… no real breakfasts (only some toast, jam, a milk offered by one of the guest after asking, still not not knowing if that was her own food or the claimed “breakfast “) no towel in the room… slow Wi-Fi internet, dogs and cats everywhere in the kitchen (dirty and not higenic) fridge overloaded with really old food inside no empty space for me, no storage space in the kitchen, no one assign me a locker in the room, bed not comfortable… not recommended
