Up on the hill ridge, not far from Vauclin, la Maison Soleil offers a well equiped bungalow and what I found especially convenient was that the owners even had thought of some groceries for the evening and the first breakfast. It was just big enough and always seemed to be at the right temperature. We were delighted by fireflies, tree frogs, bats, local birds, and even a shy ginger cat that wandered past once or twice.”
