I booked this extra night before a tour starting at the same property because I was flying in around 5am. The room with separate lounge and mini bar fridge was very good. Breakfast was good. Check in easy. Good price. The arrival shuttle in the night was great.

The disappointment was being phoned around 9am to say I could move to the start room for my tour. I felt i was being urged to move, rather than invited, when checkout was 12 noon, which would have meant I paid for a night but only had 4 hours in the room.

Good location minutes walk to point sof interests, restaurant, etc. Very friendly staff though communication was a bit of a problem. The room was huge by Mongolian standards, with a sitting room and a bedroom, and a modern bathroom.

Hot water only at specific time.

The hotel staff was friendly and helpful even when language differences were a challenge. There is a good Indian restaurant within very short walking distance.

It isn't in a great neighborhood, and overall, the place is on the older side. The bed was too hard, and there were no extra pillows. There is no AC; just a fan. The bathtub is really high, so getting in and out of the shower can be a little challenging if you have any mobility issues (or just are clumsy). Also, a piece of tile was broken off of the wall in the bathroom. The fridge wasn't cold at all.

The food was fine, breakfast was good. The location is excellent. The staff are very helpful and friendly.

We stayed a total of 5 nights, 2 at the start and 3 to finish our tour. The rooms were never made up. We had to ask to get the garbage taken out and to get fresh towels. The beds were never made and the floor was never vacuumed.

    The breakfast was fine.

We stayed two night previously and the room was never attended to, no beds made-up and no clean towels.

Very cooperative and supportive staff who takes care of the guests and extend their support as much as they can. Ukaah (sorry if I spelled that wrong) was excellent at reception

The breakfast may include a few more options. Like toast (bran and multigrain) for diet conscious guests. The kitchen also closes early, its timing may be extended until 10pm at least.

Rooms are largely clean and have old-school character. Good WiFi. The breakfast buffet was surprisingly high quality.

It's a very chaotic setup. When we arrived we were told that the room we had reserved was occupied by somebody else, and we had to insist that the hotel fulfil our reservation. We were given a twin room instead of the double that we had reserved. Then the keycard to the room didn't work, and we had to go back to reception 3 times to try different keycards until one eventually worked. We then tried to go for dinner but the receptionist ran after us saying she needed us to give back the keycard because it was the master card for the hotel. Staff were trying to be helpful but it was a very frustrating experience. Providing access to the room is really the most very basic requirement for a hotel and this seemed to be a challenge for them. Also, had to argue with the staff about the exchange rate. Our reservation was denominated in USD, and we were happy to pay in either USD or the Mongolian currency equivalent based on the xe.com exchange rate, but hotel said that their 'policy' required us to pay in Mongolian currency but at a higher exchange rate. I told the staff it's absurd to think that they can simply decide which exchange rate they'd like, and they eventually agreed to use the correct rate. Also, shower in some rooms is weak and cold (though we stayed one night in a different room and shower was better).

    Location, price.

Just one socket, and in an inconvenient position. Plenty of superpolluting single-use plastic packaged toiletries.

The hotel is very well situated near to the city center and Novotel. The surroundings are relatively quiet. The room is large, very clean and has everything you need for a good stay. Access is not easy, but this is normal for Ulaanbaatar, so you'll have to trust your driver. You can find plenty of restaurants in the area. The breakfast is good.

A bit expensive, you can find the same service for less. Hot water is not available when there are few guests, and I don't know if you can trust the water purifiers in the halls.
