How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

Verified reviewA wonderful family-run hotel with an incredibly welcoming atmosphere. The owner is always present and very helpful, ready to assist with any questions or travel plans. The staff is genuinely kind and does everything to make guests feel comfortable. The breakfast is unbelievably good. Frequent power outages occur in the city, but they have their own generator, so electricity is always available. Plus, restaurants, spas, and markets are all within walking distance, making it easy to get around even during a blackout. I would gladly stay here again—highly recommended!

Verified reviewThis was one of the nicest places I ever stayed at. Trinity ist situated a little away from the main road in an idyllic little garden. Mah Twe and her Family are lovely and they try to fulfill your every wish. They also help with booking buses and tours. I stayed one night longer because it was so pleasant there.

Verified reviewI had a comfortable trip with the kind and smart guidance of hotel owner. Breakfast cooked and served by the owner is so great. It has Western breakfast to local food. It tastes great, and the amount is abundant. of course a day's boat tour and make sure to see the sunrise at dawn on the lake the stillness was sacred and very spiritual.
The electricity is sometimes cut off, but it's not the hotel owner's fault.

Verified reviewEverything was wonderful. Very nice people, replying to the messages I was sending them prior to the day that we had made the booking. Trying to give us information and showed a lot of support because we didn’t have anything planned and needed some assistance. Excellent breakfast!! EXCELLENT!! A very nice clean place where the power generator was on and we had light and internet. Internet excellent!!!! There is nothing we didn’t like. I only wish people choose this place when they come to Lake Inle for their visit. It’s great location great close to restaurants and easy to go to the boats and go for a tour. I wish them all The best from my heart!

Verified reviewSuper cute and well maintained little inn. The bungalows are tiny houses with space and comfortable beds. It’s clean and peaceful. The owner is extremely nice, welcoming and helpful. The entire team is really attentive and goes out of their way to ensure we have the best trip. The breakfast was also copious and really tasty. Nothing but the best for these people. Go there! Have the best inle experience!

Verified reviewA more than magnificent accommodation! The rooms are housed in beautiful bungalows, with huge spaces for sleeping and in the bathroom, including a large desk and a beautiful outdoor patio with chairs and tables. The breakfast is nothing short of magnificent! In addition to the option of having toast with jam, fried or omelette eggs, and pancakes, every day a different fresh fruit juice is provided, along with the opportunity to taste a local dish for an authentic Myanmar breakfast experience! The lady managing the property speaks good English and is super helpful in organizing boat trips, visits to the Red Mountain vineyards, and bus reservations. Some bicycles are always available free of charge to explore the area comfortably. Upon arrival, the lady and her family (all super super super kind!) provide a useful map of the area with many helpful tips, including where to go for dinner with local food. Without a doubt, the best accommodation of my trip to Myanmar, I was really sorry to have to leave this beautiful hotel. And if I ever manage to return to Inle Lake, I already know where to stay because I hope so much to meet this spectacular family again!
It's not a flaw of the hotel at all, but please keep in mind that you are located by a lake, so especially in the evenings, there are a few mosquitoes. To fully enjoy the relaxation on the outdoor patio of the room, I recommend bringing along a mosquito repellent spray.

Verified reviewI booked 7 nights at Trinity Family Inn but ended up staying a total of 12 nights. I love Nyaung Shwe and was able to experience Thingyan or Water Festival. Biking and photographing in Nyaung Shwe is very relaxing and enjoyable and the area is beautiful. (Bikes are free) Inle Lake is also close by if you want to experience that area. Nyaung Shwe is 2,900+ feet above sea level so it is also cooler than Yangon and other parts of Myanmar. At Trinity Family Inn, I was treated like family. Ma Htwe, Aung, and May Naw Soe took very good care of me. If I needed something, they were on it. Their rooms are spacious and very clean. There was always plenty of drinking water and the air con and wifi worked well. On the premises, there are plenty of flowers and plants so it is a little oasis. You are very close to the market and there are restaurants nearby but I ate dinner a number of times at Trinity Family Inn. Ma Htwe is a very good cook and make sure you try her egg curry. Breakfast was local food or western food plus there was always plenty of fresh fruit and fruit juice. I often talked with Ma Htwe and learned more about the area and Myanmar in general. Very friendly people! For the price of the room, it is a great value!
Nothing comes to mind

The bungalows.were spacious with all the amenities for a good stay. Extremely clean! Verified reviewWe had the most wonderful time staying at this hotel. Madame, the owner of the hotel and all the other staffs were very kind and helpful with a great smile in every way. Madame arranged a boat trip, a taxi trip to Pindaya, which was great. We were interested in local Shan food, and asked so many questions and she was too helpful that she even cooked some local food for us. They were all delicious including the breakfast with local coffee and food. The location was perfect for us, just a few minutes walk to the market, where we could find lots of local food. Thank you for your hospitality. Would love to stay again.
