How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

Verified reviewAmazing and super attentive staff! Also the location and accomodations (including a phenomenal breakfast) are so much value for the price
Nothing to complain about at all! When the power went out because of the government controls, they would make sure to turn on the generator to keep WiFi and power going!

The breakfast is very tasty and the restaurant is also great. Thanks to the friendly, very cordial staff, this hotel is perfect. Go there!
Why are so few tourists travelling to Bagan? Bagan is very safe, so all the sights are perfect for exploring. So travel to Bagan!

The lack of power electricity, but that has to blame the Myanmar government.

Verified reviewNice hotel, walking distance to the river and one temple. There are some minor things in the room to improve. The rooms are advertised as with a view, however only the rooms watching the street have the view; the others are a bit dark.

Verified reviewI could not say enough good things about the staff of A Little Bit Of Bagan. They are super friendly and always willing and ready to help you. The breakfast was really good and complete. And best of all were the big smiles every time we encountered a staff member, they really make you feel welcome I would recommend this place to anyone anytime. Even after we checked out of A Little Bit of Bagan, a few days later I needed a favor from them and they were very gracious to help me even though I we were no longer staying with them Thank you again!
Thank you so much! We highly appreciate your kindness. We do hope , we will meet again!

Verified reviewThe hotel is not bad. Good location, the owner booked us a hot air balloon flight, helped us buy bus tickets, and booked transportation for the whole day for sightseeing at a good price. Breakfast is delicious, but the same every day. I really liked the dinners in the restaurant, the hostess cooks, there is a sufficient choice of dishes on the menu.I didn’t like that when we paid for the hotel with local money, the owner calculated it at an unfavorable rate and in reality we paid more than was stated. The bathroom is in poor condition, there is an unpleasant smell, the air conditioning did not work well and only worked for a few hours in the evening, at night the room was very hot and stuffy.

It’s located in the area where I can have most of the restaurants/ night market. Breakfast is amazing and serve with a giant portion! Overall it is a good experience for me to stay.

Verified reviewMr. Min and his family are the most hospitable and friendly people you will meet. They are kind and helpful to their guests. The breakfast is served at the restaurant and freshly prepared every morning. We also had dinner at their restaurant one evening and the charcoal barbecue was delicious!
Electricity shortages in Myanmar is very common, but Mr. Min and his family do their best with 2 generators on the property.

Verified reviewWhat a gem A little bit of Bagan is. The hotel is so clean and well maintained. The owners and their employees are the kindest and friendliest people. The breakfast is amazing, very personal made and healthy. The location is close to many restaurants and shops, but why go to other restaurants when you can go to their own excellent restaurant. If in Bagan you must stay here.

Verified reviewclean bed linen and towels. cleaned every day. delicious breakfasts, interesting serving. The room includes bottled water and toiletries.
the hotel is not new and tired. The room sometimes smells of dampness or sewage. But the window cannot be opened, it leads to the common corridor. Upon arrival, the owner rudely and shoutingly demands payment for the hotel higher than indicated on the website and higher than the official rate. And says: pay in dollars, if you don't have dollars, that's your problem. Then pay for the room instead of 5700 rub - 8100 rub. I didn't have that much money, I paid about 6000 and left. This hotel is not worth 8100 rub.

Verified reviewA Little Bit of Bagan offers a beautiful stay with a charming traditional vibe that perfectly complements the surroundings. The location is excellent, and we had the chance to explore the nearby area on foot, which was a lovely experience. The staff at the reception and restaurant were incredibly kind and welcoming, adding to the overall positive impression. In Bagan, state-provided electricity is known to shut off at night, but the hotel had a reliable generator that ensured uninterrupted power during those times, which we greatly appreciated. The breakfast was a highlight, served in a separate restaurant with good coffee to start the day right. The staff’s attentive and friendly service truly stood out, making our stay even more enjoyable.
