Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

North MacedoniaIt is very aesthetic and it has cool concept, it really gets the feeling of traditional old macedonian house, but at the same time very functional and modern.

Czech RepublicBreakfast and dinner nice but fairly simple. Not a huge fan of paying what you feel it’s worth for dinners (really seems much more like a scheme than a cool concept). Moreover, related, there is not much transparency in terms of drinks prices (you pay those extra and the final bill can thus be a fairly unpleasant surprise). Wifi is pretty much non existent, shower doesn’t always have a hot water.
Nice location and setting. Close to great hiking options (doable quite easy without a guide too…). Room is clean, nicely decorated and has everything you need. It’s nice to share meals with other guests.

MaltaThe fact that we couldn't stay longer!
Where do we even start?? The hosts, the location, the ambience, the food, the wine, the garden, the neighbours ... This is a home away from home. It is more of an experience rather than just an accommodation.

NorwayThis is an absolute gem! We stayed for one night but could easily have stayed for one week. Matea was a perfect host in her father’s absence and the locally produced food prepared by her grandmother was delicious! Thank you for making our stay so memorable. We hope to come back one day!

BelgiumThe concept of paying what you want for food is not good. You feel bad and therefore end up by paying way too much. Fix prices would be much better. Also the price given on booking was not the pari e i had to pay. Paying directly through booking would be better and avoid misunderstandings or annoyances.

New ZealandWe didn’t really like the concept of paying what we thought the dinner was worth and would prefer a set price. The water hot/cold came in irregular bursts.
Quiet tranquil place. Had a large garden for lounging in and sharing dinner with other guests. Enjoyed the home made beer and red wine. We had one of the larger rooms which we found comfortable. Helpful host. Impressive family business which has put the village on the international “foodies” and trampers map.

United KingdomThe bathroom/toilet is small (it's an old farm building, not a big block hotel - easily excused!) and separated from the rest of the room by a transparent glass door.
Dihovo is well-known for good reasons. Of course the location is very good... but the real reasons are: - the atmosphere is very friendly and communal (it helps that there are only a few rooms and everyone is here to hike) - the mother/son couple running the place are very nice and knowledgeable about the area - the food is great and locally produced (and/or home cooked) - the property (the rooms, the garden, etc) is charming and nicely renovated - it's very quiet and relaxing. Perfect after a long hike! I would absolutely come back

BelgiumThe matrasses were to old, we felt the springs which is not comfortable. The temperature of the water in the rooms was irregular.
The atmosphere was very familial. We felt at home. The homemade diners with the other guests were really nice. It is a quiet base for exploring the park. The garden is charming and a nice place to relax.

If you are looking for an authentic experience, a wonderful host full of information, home cooked food from the garden and a chance to mingle with other like minded travelers, you must book a stay here. We had a wonderful two days, relaxing in a peaceful setting, eating healthy food, drinking organic wine and conversing with others. Rooms are modest and Pelister National Park is a stoned throw away. I wouldn’t stay here if you are reliant on public transportation as it’s located in a village next to Bitola.
