It's 10 minutes uphill walk from the main street but that's no too bad.

Excellent place with high standard.The host was very welcomming and told me anout the interesting places in Ohrid.You have only 10 minutes walk to the main stree and two minutes to an antique theatre.I highly recommend Vila Kale.

Jovanka was a very sweet and welcoming host. Location was great, few minutes uphill from the lake and less than 10 minutes to the boat armada. Bathroom was nice and clean. Had a beautiful view from our room. Wish we could have stayed longer.

Fantastic location and beautiful views. Stefan and Ljubče were fanatic hosts and the location is great. They were very helpful with finding the parking spot as well. Views were incredible and it's in historic center. We recommended it 100%.

Good location with view to the lake. When you arrive in order to park you have to call the property and they will open the gate at the town door (since it is inside the limited traffic zone). All our staying went smooth

Everything was great! House owner Stefan and his dad Lutchko(I hope spelling is correct, sorry!) was very helpful and kind always. Room cleaned everyday without asking though it's very nice. View was amazing, we were lucky and had both Castle and Lake view from our room. Location is great, so close to everywhere just mind the stairs. Totally recommend this place, please go there and you will not regret!

Brilliant location - 10 minutes via steps down to the lake and beach area, 10 minutes by road to the centre of the new town. Facilities had everything needed - large bathroom with great shower, very comfortable large bed, plus an additional single bed, sofas, fridge, air conditioning, plenty of storage furniture - wardrobe, drawers etc, small balcony with seats for two. Excellent value for the price. Stefan our host was extremely helpful, happy to chat in English, organised a taxi for us on departure

spacious suite with great view of the amphitheatre. parking outside. in the old town and a bit of a walk uphill from the harbour but this was not an issue for us. comfortable beds and nice hot shower with good water pressure. family run and both dad and son were nice hospitable people. recommended

WiFi didn't always work. Villa Kale is situated at the top of a very steep climb from the Old Town - could be difficult in wet weather! Booking.com claims the Deluxe Double Room is wheelchair accessible; sadly this isn't the case as it's on the first floor, up a flight of stairs! There is no lift at Villa Kale.

My second visit to Villa Kale! Spotlessly clean.Friendly, helpful staff, stunning views of the lake. Also, a large balcony with a great view of Samuel's Fortress. Quiet location meant that a good night's sleep is guaranteed.

A steep climb up and down the steps to get to and from the old town to be aware of, but that's part of the town's appeal!

An excellent guesthouse in a quiet location, very near to the old town, shops and restaurants. Staff were very welcoming and friendly and gave good recommendations on what to see/ do. Room was very clean, spacious and bright with great views of the lake.
