How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

Verified reviewAmenities were great, they have indoor and outdoor pool, with lots of sunbeds and the pool water was warm. The view from the hotel to the lake is very nice. Breakfast was decent.
We were hoping that the room would be nicer. Rooms definitely need some upgrading. Rooms could be cleaner, there was dust under the bed.

The room was spacious, comfortable, and well-equipped, providing the perfect place to relax after a day of exploring Ohrid and beautiful views to the lake. Breakfast was varied and delicious, with plenty of options. What truly stood out was the warm hospitality. The staff were exceptionally friendly, attentive, and always went out of their way to make guests feel welcome. A fantastic experience overall!

Verified reviewThe hotel shows signs of age, with dated furniture that has seen considerable use over the years. While overall cleanliness is maintained, certain areas have an unpleasant odor that detracts from the experience. The property does not meet the expectations of a 4-star rating. However, the breakfast is a highlight, offering a good variety and quality. Our room suite had a beautiful view to Lake Ohrid and this make out stay to forget all the issue of this hotel and also we have charge at 22kW for free the car :)
The hotel is quite dated, with worn-out furniture and decor that clearly show their age. Although the rooms and common areas were generally clean, there was an unpleasant smell in certain parts of the hotel, which affected the overall experience. Some of the amenities listed were not functioning properly (,weak Wi-Fi signal- 2 Mbps speed ). Overall, the hotel falls short of 4-star expectations in terms of comfort, maintenance, and services.

Verified reviewLocation . Balconies overlooking the lake. Air conditioning was a good standard. Rooms were relatively clean. Rooms were very spacious. Adequate gym equipment available for workout.
Towels had musty smell, even though clean. No irons in the room available and so you are forced to pay for pressing services. Staff not geared up for arrival of guests. No concierge or bellhop upon arrival - we struggled with our luggage and getting it up to our 4th floor room. Spiderwebs in our room. TV not working in the second room. Waiter in the restaurant made a note to ask for his tip before we left the restaurant.

Some restaurant staff were a little rude, location is far from the city centre without a car, sometimes hard to get a park in the hotel car park, view from indoor pool is better than from outdoor pool

Poor breakfast and dinner. Location not ideal as I needed to pay 10 euros each on taxi to go to the centre. I went for the evening buffet and no waiter attended me or even asked me for a drink. Very poor quality coffee and orange juice most likely made from cordial or mixed powder

Verified reviewEverything was great. The staff was very kind and gave me answers to every question I had. The location is perfect with a great view of the lake in the dining room. What amazed me the most was the game room they have that has a lot of potential for the hotel to host a speed running event such as (awesome games done quck) or any other kind of video game event such as tournaments of old fighting games since they have great arcade machines in the game room, oh and they have a pool table as well. So I hope in the future there will be sonsors that will make that happen. All in all I had the best vacation ever.
There is nothing bad to say, except maybe the pillows but that is a personal preference.

The breakfast was disappointing—basic and not up to the standard expected from a 4-star hotel. Despite being promised adjacent rooms when booking, we were not accommodated as such. The rooms appeared much nicer in the photos than they did in reality. Overall, the price felt too high for what was offered. On a positive note, the staff were friendly and helpful.

Verified reviewOverall everything was fine, but i note that in first night (near 19:45) food was all cold during dinner, also we should pay for water (dont know why water excluded). Breakfast good, juices and water included during breakfast.
Air condition was not good so we should leave open our room window during night.
