How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty

- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

The surrounding area wasn’t the nicest.
The property was modern and spotless, with spacious rooms and very comfortable beds. The staff were friendly and helpful. The gym was well-equipped and up to date, and the breakfast was enjoyable.

There's literally nothing not to like! :)
Everything about our stay in this amazing Rock themed hotel was 100% AMAZING! I dunno where to even begin... literally PERFECT. We were unlucky and out child got sick during our trip, and everybody in the hotel did they best to help us out, they even coocked special food for us. We even stayed one day more than it was planed. Prices are really amazing, food perfect and delicious. Amazing stuff really and we will make sure to go there every time on our trip to Greece. Thanks to everybody in Paint it Black hotel from me and my family! We love you guys

We dined in the hotel restaurant. We were pleased, but the service was a bit slow.
The location was ideal for a stop-over before crossing the borders. The room is spacious, comfortable and clean. It has everything we asked for. Free parking is available, and the very polite staff informed us we could make use of the swimming pool. As we had to leave before breakfast time, they prepared a packed lunch for us.

Someone told me that: “if you’re going to Gevgelija you have to stay in Paint It Black!” Indeed and without any doubt, the best place to stay! Amazing staff (dedicated, professional and attentive), the facilities have an amazing design, the areas are quite generous (rooms, common areas) and a lot to do in the hotel premises (bar, gym, casino, etc.)!

Beautiful and clean luxury hotel with extra friendly staff! Room size was perfect,everything was clean,the prices were absolutely normal for that kind of services. Nice food in the restaurant In the room price it is included: a breakfast which is more than satisfying and also gym membership,which left us speechless!As a fan of training it was the biggest surprise for us. Excellent hotel. Very nice rooms. Parking is secure and big. Hotel is near highway so on easy way you can continue the trip. Breakfast is excellent and with big food selection.

We were on first flour. Below us was a restouraunt. So in 7am breakfast is starting and you can hear in the room all the time moving of the chairs on tails. We told this to recepcion, like you can use this protection for chair legs it's not expensive but your guests will be more satisfied. They react like ok what else you didn't like except that. Like they don't care. I think it is too expensive for this town. Better to take something else.

The washbasin in the bathroom should be bigger. The area around the hotel.
Spacious room, with very good air conditioning. Very comfortable bed. It's close to the highway, so it is ideal for a stop over near the borders of North Macedonia. Rich breakfast buffet.
