Reviews of Carambola Résidence, Ocean View

I loved everything. The property itself is spacious, has all of the accommodations you need for a short or long stay. It is a short walk to one of the most beautiful beaches in st Martin which has tons of restaurants and cafes and beach yoga and beach clubs with (if you search) relatively cheap day rates for loungers and so many other things and a short walk the other way to a centre commercial, supermarket, pharmacy and everything you could need. The wifi is amazing. I was happy to see a small safe for passport etc. The balcony is huge and the view from the balcony is one in a million (both of the lake in the front and the ocean in the back) If you like birdwatching the lake across the street has lots of amazing birds (frigate birds, hummingbirds etc.), some of them might come close to your window and say hi. But more than all of this the key to this property are the two owners. They are just good people and they make incredible efforts to make sure your stay is perfect, from recommending delivery services for groceries (and making sure they are there when you arrive) to compiling PowerPoint presentations of all of the key things you need to settle into the apartment, to their recommendations on restaurants (although a Michelin rated restaurant is right next door), to a list of common hikes.

The property itself is ideal. This being said, it is Saint Martin, so be prepared for a couple of hours every other week of occasional blackouts . Also, it’s the French side, so while the water won’t make you sick, you are better off ordering Evian upfront (owners can help).

I was very impressed by how nice and accommodating these great host were. The property was extremely clean and they have every appliance for my visit and more. Remy not only carried my suitcase up to the front door but arranged my airport taxi ride to the airport.

That I had to leave and go back home to reality. :)

Great location , close to beaches and restaurants, great hosts who would help with booking restaurants and make recommendations on where to go Stayed for 3 nights and going back for 6 more!!

Cosy get away place, hidden in the green. Well maintained, all what you need for a great stay with impeccable views!

I can totally recommend this place. The place is hidden from busy sights and so it is very tranquil and peaceful with a gorgeous view of quiet pond yet not too far from a town nor beach. The room was nicely decorated for its comfort and was super clean and tidy. The owner knows everything in Town and was very so supportive and caring. Don’t miss his restaurant lists in the brochure in the room. We picked all the restaurants during our stays from it and they were all fantabulous. This guy is a Gourmand.

Remy and Yamina are the perfect hosts! Getting to their place feels like coming home. The apartment is just perfect and I would have loved to stay longer. It can’t get any better!

We had such a wonderful stay with Remy and Yasmine at the Carambola Residence. The apartment had everything we needed and had such a great vibe. It felt very welcoming and the terrace was just amazing. Remy was very helpful in providing information and the checkin/checkout process was very smooth. Would recommend everyone to stay here when going to Saint Martin!

Honestly nothing!

Absolutely incredible stay. 10/10 right from the very start. Prior to arriving, Remy got in touch with us to provide details about our stay, as well as information about the island. We were welcomed by our host upon arrival and were given a tour of the residence. Each morning we were able to witness fantastic sunrises from the huge balcony. The decor inside is perfect.

I can’t think of one negative comment to write about our stay. Simply fantastic.

Very nice and well decorated and equipped with all the necessary and even more apartment with an amazing terrace from which you can see sunsets and sunrises. The location is very convenient to visit the island, there are nice beaches and restaurants/shops nearby (though you need car anyway if you want to have an idea about the island) and you can reach Orient Bay in 10 minutes walk. And for sure, thank you to the owner, Rémy, who helped us a lot during our stay on the island with all kind of things, including boat tour organisation (which was also amazing) and were alvays in connection with us. Thank you very much, we spent a magnificent holiday!

everything. the list is long: 1. the location, in the most beautiful area of the Island 2 in a few minutes you are everywhere, you can reach wild beaches, equipped beaches, restaurants, shops, beach club, but still remaining in a quiet position 3 the apartment is a dream, large, beautiful, furnished with incredible taste. perfect for a Caribbean getaway 4 from the terrace you can enjoy the incredible panorama, enchanted sunrises, beautiful sunsets. Get yourself a bottle of champagne or whatever you like to drink and wait for the sun to go down on the terrace 5 the kindness and helpfulness of the owner: he gave us a special welcome, he helped us in the practical arrangements, he made himself available for advice, reservations, etc. 6 different options for markets are close this place will stay in our hearts and I can't recommend it highly enough

location couldn’t be better near beaches and services. you get sun all day long in a huge terrace with beautiful views. super well decorated, well stocked, and very comfortable. bonus was having big iguanas perched over the trees right next to it.
