Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

IsraelNot much to do in the place itself, unless you want to do some hiking in the Lovcen national Park
It is the second time we are staying at this hotel. The hotel itself is new and beautiful. There are lots of facilities especially for kids - two indoor pools, kids playroom, and also outside playground. There's also very nice jacuzzi for no extra pay. Room itself is very comfortable and clean. Stuff is very nice and attentive. Hotel is also only 1 hour drive from tivat airport.

Austriathe road from Kotor to this hotel is only for those with strong nerves - better recommendations on how to reach this locality would be useful; generally, people litter along streets (not that the hotel can do anything about it though)
friendly staff, good food, astonishing views of National park landscape, refreshing indoor pool

United StatesThe “Spa” area could use significant improvement. Currently, it’s a large enclosed room with no windows, where all elements—sauna, Jacuzzi, storage room, and massage table—share the same open, wet, and underlight space with no separators. This setup compromises both comfort and hygiene. Another area that needs attention is the kitchen. There have been recurring issues such as burnt bread, overcooked eggs, undercooked pork, and the use of old oil for frying — all of which affect the dining experience. A major upgrade would be the removal of all carpeting throughout the hotel, including hallways and stairs. While the carpet may be intended to provide warmth during winter, it is not hygienic, especially considering the hotel is pet-friendly. Installing a proper heating system would be a much better and cleaner alternative. Overall, the hotel deserves its 4-star rating (or 8/10) due to the quality of the building, staff, and location — but there’s definitely room for improvement in some key areas.
The hotel is in a great location, the staff is super friendly, generally speaking, the building and installations are fine,

SwitzerlandOwners dog came to the table and begged for food during dinner, then relieved himself in front of the door that leads from the patio to the inside restaurant. 😨 The rooms have carpets that might be clean but are full of stains.
Great location, nicely decorated rooms, lots of amenities. Friendly staff.

BelgiumService during breakfast was a bit messy eg. the coffee machine was not working, but it did not seem to be of great importance. Overall good food, but needed some additional time to decide what to order iso sitting down and ordering within the same minute.
Green & quiet location, close to Lovćen and mausoleum, good food and basic room, but it provided all the necessary.

NetherlandsThe breakfast could have been better. they have very limited options and some of the food was cold. The internet kept disappearing and while working, it was very slow.
The location. it was a nice place to stay and stretch our legs on the way to Kotor. The room is spacious and they have a big dining area inside plus several tables out in front. they have sufficient parking place in the front as well as on the side. There is greenery all around and the evening is very quiet.

Luxembourg1)In order to even reach the hotel, you will have to pay a 3€ park entrance fee per person. The park officiers let us in and out several times using the same ticket when we explained that we were staying in a hotel inside the park. 2)From the outside the hotel looks great. From the inside furniture is quite old and the floors are made of carpet only. Unfortunately, there are a lot of old dirty marking, leaving a bad hygene impression. 3)Personnaly, we did not like the breakfast (example of things not available in the buffet during our stay: no toast, no fruit, no yoghurt, eggs always only in fried form). The available items were mostly cold cuts and cheese. The "longer" coffee was included in the breakfast, however the "small" espresso was charged (makes still no sense to us). Overall we would still recommand the hotel if you plan to stay for a 2-3 days, not longer. Compared to Western European (German/French) standards, the hotel would correspond to a maximum of 3 star hotel.
Hotel Monte Rosa is located inside the Lovcen national park. Our room was on the last floor, and corresponded to what we had requested. The hotel is located 20 minutes from Cetinje city by car. The way to/from the hotel goes through the mountains and contains several narrow roads. Our top 3 are the following: 1)The personnel was polivalent, extremely friendly and left the impression it could even be a family-run hotel (in reality not the case). 2)The hotel restaurant has a reasonable amount of food choice, most of it however turning around meat. Food & beverage prices are very good, food quantity however often exagerated and leading to food waste (example: mixed grill contained 6 steak-like pieces of meat for 2 people). I recommend smaller portions. 3)You are able to privatize the spa (contains sauna and jacuzzi) for 15€/hour.

Saudi ArabiaBreakfast quality was mediocre and had no choices. This has to improve because the cost of breakfast is considerable. In addition, as a vegetarian, I had few choices for dinner. It's all meat on the menu. This is basically the only restaurant in the area, unless you decide to drive to the top of the zipline or the mausoleum - both places have restaurants but unsure of their food quality. A peculiar thing occurred to me on one morning; a staff member entered my room without knocking. She deliberately woke me up, not sure of the reason, maybe to remind me of breakfast. I was shocked as it never happened before. My balcony was very close to my neighbour's, so I could hear talking and smell cigarette smoke.
The location is at the doorstep of the national park and it was easy to start walking the Wolf trail, which turned out to be quite scenic. If you intend to walk to the mausoleum, be aware that it'll be an about 18-km return hike by road. I enjoyed it but some people may find it a hard task. My view from the room was pretty, overlooking the mausoleum and the surrounding mountains.

ItalyFirst of all, I liked the place. Ideal for July compared to the coast. Relief from the heat. I was very pleasantly surprised by the price for the room. Breakfast was included in the price. There is ample free parking near the hotel. For breakfast you could choose either a salty or sweet option. They offer cured meats and cheese specialties from local farmers. It is convenient that there is a restaurant where you can have dinner. I was pleasantly surprised by the presence of an indoor pool, an indoor children's playground with a labyrinth, a gym and a spa. Everything was included in the room price. In winter, I think, you can rent ski equipment here, they have everything. There is a spring water source nearby; you can get some ice water for free.
