How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

Verified reviewThe hotel is located behind a main street, with no sea view. The staff was truly wonderful and very attentive in every way. Breakfast was nice; there was a good variety, but mostly for those who came early. There is a restaurant under the hotel that serves tasty food, considering local standards in Montenegro. Especially Thanks for Milush.
The rooms were quite small and didn’t feel very clean, although the rest of the hotel was very well maintained and spotless.

Verified reviewI had an excellent stay at this hotel! Everything was comfortable, clean, and well-organized, but what truly made the difference was the warm and professional service. A special mention goes to Natasha at the reception - she was outstanding! From the moment I arrived, she greeted me with a genuine smile, made check-in quick and smooth, and went above and beyond to answer my questions and give helpful recommendations. She made me feel truly welcome and valued as a guest. The hotel itself is beautiful, but it’s people like Natasha who make the experience unforgettable. I highly recommend staying here and will definitely return.

Verified reviewFirst, I want to acknowledge the good aspects of our visit. The hotel's design and decor are beautiful, and we were pleased with the quality and variety of the morning food. The jacuzzi was also a wonderful feature. I must also commend your staff; the reception and kitchen staff were exceptionally friendly and welcoming, which we greatly appreciated.
However, there were two issues that significantly impacted our comfort and overall experience, and I wanted to bring them to your attention directly. Housekeeping & hygiene: Upon our arrival, we were shocked to find that the cleaning service was subpar. We found fecal matter in the toilet bowl, and there were multiple grease stains on the furniture. Also, the sink was clogged. This is an unacceptable health and cleanliness issue that significantly affected our comfort and peace of mind from the very beginning. External noise disturbance: Our room was severely affected by loud, persistent noise from nearby clubs. Despite keeping our windows closed, the music and bass were so loud that they kept us awake for most of the night, every night of our stay. This lack of a peaceful environment was extremely disruptive and made it impossible to get a good night's rest. While we truly enjoyed the positive elements and the friendly staff, the major hygiene failures and the disruptive noise ruined what could have been a pleasant stay.

Verified reviewLocation is 5 min to the sea, there are markets and cafes very close The staff are friendly and very helpful people
Rooms: not worth 4* hotel, old pillows, low quality towels, slippers, etc. In spa: Hamam and steam bath were closed, just the pool and sauna is working. You need to pay to enter the balcony with beautiful view, which is the only nice spot in the hotel. It HAS to be free! Breakfast is satisfying, but not perfect, there were no names of the food - this made it hard to know what we ate (pork, etc.)

Verified reviewVery close to the beach and a short walk to the old town. Recently renovated and modern facilities, exactly as shown in the pictures. Friendly and helpful staff.
The breakfast had limited options. Parking spots were not enough for all guests, particularly during peak periods. Hotel staff were really helpful and tried to find spots for us but it’s a very central and busy area so wasn’t always possible.

Verified reviewIt’s within walking distance to both the central area and the old town, which made getting around easy. The rooftop jacuzzi was a lovely feature and a great way to unwind in the evenings. You can see the potential here — with a few thoughtful off-season tweaks, it could be a truly standout stay.
There was no "Do Not Disturb" sign, which made it hard to fully relax — especially in the mornings when you can hear cleaners moving through the rooms next door. A simple DND sign would reduce guest anxiety and help cut down on unnecessary cleaning. The restaurant downstairs didn’t offer any alternative milk options for coffee, so I had to walk 15 minutes each morning to find a cafe that had Soya milk. Using the EV charger was the most stressful part of my stay as it was the only reason I booked the hotel — it was nearly impossible to use, constantly blocked by non-electric cars who park there. I started worrying when my battery dropped to 7%, checking every hour to see if the space had been cleared. A proper EV-only policy or better signage would make a big difference.

Verified reviewOur stay at Hotel Millennium in Budva was nothing short of outstanding. From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed with warmth and professionalism, setting the tone for a truly memorable visit. The rooms were impeccably clean, stylish, and comfortable, offering all the amenities needed for a relaxing stay. The location is also ideal—just a short walk from the beach and close to many restaurants and attractions. What truly made our experience exceptional, however, was the incredible service provided by Natasa. Her attention to detail, genuine hospitality, and helpful recommendations made us feel not just like guests, but truly valued. Natasa went above and beyond to ensure everything was perfect for us, and her kindness left a lasting impression. If you're planning a trip to Budva, I highly recommend Hotel Milenium—not only for its comfort and convenience, but especially for the top-tier service. Ask for Natasa—you'll be in the best hands!

Verified reviewThe location was near the city center and old town. There was a nice jacuzzi on the rooftop we accessed for free which was very nice. We had access to the pool until 9 PM as well. Breakfast was great, had a lot of options to choose from and it was warm. Even when they ran out of something, it was replaced immediately, so that was great. The reception was nice, they spoke English well and were very helpful.
The room was not as clean as I expected for 130 euro for one night. It was poorly cleaned like they did it last minute. And it was probably the case because when we checked in we saw cleaners in the hallway with a lot of pillows and sheets. That's the only thing I didn't like as they could have dusted off the place before arrival. The furniture had dust on them. Also after I had a shower and stepped on the floor, I was getting this sticky feeling like it wasn't moped and dust sticked on my feet. The sheets and bed were kind of clean at least, but like I said, for 130 euros I expected much better. Overall, the room smelled like dust.
