Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

Netherlands-
I stayed at Heritage Grand Perast twice within one week, and both stays left a lasting impression. The first time was absolutely flawless: the room was spacious, beautifully decorated, and spotlessly clean. Breakfast was plentiful and continuously replenished, even towards the end of service. In the evening, the sommelier recommended wonderful wines to pair with our dinner, and the massages were excellent, simply perfect in every way. During my second stay, a few minor obstacles came up, but the way the female manager handled the situation was nothing short of phenomenal. She acted swiftly, efficiently, and with great care. I am truly grateful for her professionalism and kindness. Even after I had already checked out and realized I had forgotten my laptop, she went above and beyond to support me and made sure everything was taken care of. I will most definitely return, this hotel is a 10+ experience that I can wholeheartedly recommend to anyone visiting Perast.

IsraelParking is a bit difficult, since you cannot enter with the car, so you must park outside and go in with your luggage on a golf car. A bit of a hassle, but very understandable, since the hotel is right in the middle of the Perast community.
Everything The outdoor pool, the beach, breakfast, the room, the building, the staff Especially Jovan the bellboy 🙂

United KingdomIt’s not the property, it’s the location. Unfortunately we couldn’t enjoy the sea or the food in the area due to the locals dumping sewage in the sea(due to the smell). My wife is allergic and unfortunately we had to go to the GP in London as the reaction was quite strong.
The hotel, the staff - everyone were incredibly polite and helpful. The hotel is in a historic building which added a level of charm.

United Arab EmiratesThe only thing that was upsetting was the absence of the in-room dining or any restaurant open during the day. I really didn’t want to dine in the restaurants nearby or drive to Kotor to find a decent restaurant.
Absolutely perfect for a solo traveler like me! This hotel is a hidden gem — ideal if you’re looking to disconnect from the noise of everyday life and reconnect with nature. It’s incredibly peaceful and silent, surrounded by stunning landscapes. Every corner of the hotel holds a sense of history, which adds so much charm and character to the stay.

GeorgiaBecause the hotel is right in the middle of historic Perast, the pool and seaside area are pretty small and not the kind of spot where I’d want to chill all day. But that wasn’t a big deal for me since there’s a really good beach club just 2 min drive away.
The staff were amazing. super professional, genuinely kind and helpful. They made the whole stay feel relaxing. The historic building is beautiful and full of character. Hotel is located in one of the most authentic parts of Montenegro coast. The courtyard is lovely, and they had live music most nights, which added a really nice vibe. Breakfast was great too. good quality and plenty of choice. I also got a free room upgrade. room was big, clean, and comfortable. Only thing it lacks is the same character the building has.

CroatiaPeople reserving loungers in the morning with their towels and then not showing up THE ENTIRE DAY. I think they should implement stricter rules and throw away towels if no one is there :/ It gets super crowded as the beach/pool area isn't that big.
On checking in (after the official check in time), we were shown to our room however it was still in the process of being cleaned, definitely not ready for us. That was a bit awkward, but the receptionist was apologetic and happy to help. We also somehow got upgraded to a stunning room overlooking the beach which was nothing short of perfect so I can't complain about it not being ready since we loved it! It was immaculately clean and we got bottles of water several times a day which was very appreciated in the heat. The staff were lovely and helpful, they gave us great recommendations for local food/drinks. The location of the hotel is also brilliant, overlooking Our lady of the rocks and with a private beach which was fab, although a bit too crowded. Breakfast was incredible, lots of options, and super delicious.

United KingdomThere were 2 x weddings at a neighbouring property which were extremely noisy until midnight on two of the nights we spent. This is a big problem I think that Heritage needs to sort out with the neighbouring property because it is really loud in a very quiet village and if your room is close by, which ours was, you can barely hear the television which is not great especially when it was 2 nights in a row. Also all of the sound testing was going on in the afternoon which was close to the pool area which again was very loud and made relaxing by the pool not very enjoyable because of the noise.

What a beautiful hotel situated right in the middle of Perast on the sea front. The location is superb, the staff friendly, we were upgraded to a fantastic room overlooking the bay which was tastefully decorated. There was evening entertainment before dinner. I am really glad I booked this hotel for the few days we visited.

United KingdomMaybe if I am being really picky service was a bit slow at times. We got a bit anxious waiting for our buggy to the taxi pick up for our return journey but it worked out OK (There were certainly no bad smells when we were there).
The location is stunning, really breathtaking. We had a lovely welcome with a cold drink and flannels on arrival. Our room was cool, clean spacious and comfortable. No view direct from our duplex room but an amazing view from the terrace outside. The breakfast has lots of varied delicious options. We swam in the pool and the sea and had amazing hammam treatments at the spa as well as having day trips to Kotor and a boat trip around the bay. It was blissful to wander along the sea front on the warm evenings. All in all we had a lovely time.
