Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomNothing everything was perfect. The only thing we regretted was not staying longer.
Staying at Marko's was like coming home despite it being our first stay. Marko greeted us and showed us around, the cabin was so lovely and everything we needed. The viewpoint to relax and hang out was such a pleasant surprise and made it easy to have relaxed days in the cabin while still getting to enjoy the beautiful surroundings. We had breakfast and dinners and it was so good we never made it to any of the local restaurants. Can't recommend a stay here enough!

LatviaWe were truly happy to discover this special place, run by a family business. From the very first moment, we were warmly welcomed and made to feel like guests rather than just customers. This kind of personal approach is becoming rare nowadays, and it made our stay especially pleasant. If you’d like to have breakfast or dinner, it needs to be ordered in advance, and you’ll be served a homemade meal. The guesthouse also features a lovely viewpoint with a seating area – a perfect place to relax in the evening while enjoying views of the Durmitor mountain range. Our children really enjoyed the stay too – the nature around, the atmosphere, and the space to explore made it a great experience for the whole family. One thing to keep in mind: if you choose a room instead of a separate cabin, you might hear other guests arriving late or leaving early in the morning. All in all – a warm, cozy and scenic place we would love to return to as a family!

AustraliaEverything was great. Just a point to note you’ll need a taxi (€7) to get from town the accommodation if you don’t have a car, but they were very easy to organise via text.
Really unique, comfortable, fun place to stay! Has everything you need and more. Marko could not have been more approachable and accommodating, even lighting a fire for us (without us even asking) when we came back cold from rafting!

RomaniaOne thing that can be improved is the bathroom. The water from the shower floods the bathroom. You have to use a mop after each shower. although the shower doors are closed, everything becomes wet and messy. But apart from that, everything was very good - excellent value for money
The surroundings, the host is super nice, the breakfast. We really enjoyed a lot staying here and exploring around.

DenmarkMarko (the owner) was always Smiling and super helpful! He knows every hiking route in the area and really puts effort into every aspect of being a host. He's a great Cook aswell - dinner and breakfast were great!! And the shared kitchen is also perfect if you want to cook yourself. The location of the accommodation is also brilliant! Slightly out of town, but close to the trails and with amazing views!! Also a decent place to meet other travellers. The room was nice! With good space and the facilities you'd need!:) The beds could be a tiny bit more comfortable, but after a full day of hiking, the body doesn't seem to care about that too much.

HungaryWiFi did not work for some reason and during our stay it could not be repaired.
The place has many small cabins with different capacity, but all inside a camp-like hillside with small paths, mood lighting, a small artifical waterfall and lot of places to comfortably sit out and relax.

United KingdomPerhaps it was the forest, or we went during a wrong time, but we were swarmed by flies upon arrival - we had to get rid of some of these flies that also flew into our cabin.
The whole experience living in a wood cabin created a lot of lovely memories - it gets quite cold at night so constructing our own fire in the fire stove provided was an extremely cosy experience. Overall, the hosts were lovely to us, and the room was also very well maintained. The location also provides a simple local breakfast, which was filling and tasty. The location of the cabin was excellent and tranquil, however it might be slightly confusing for first timers to reach.

GermanyUnfortunately, the bed and mattress were very uncomfortable, and the room is not at all soundproof. If you have noisy neighbors who get up early or a baby living in the adjacent room, you might wake up earlier than you'd like. And don't forget to bring some warm clothes as it can get quite chilly inside.
The location is a huge advantage of this accommodation, as it's a direct starting point for many hikes in Durmitor National Park. Furthermore, the owner is very friendly and helpful. The kitchen was very clean and well equipped. Plus, the price is really reasonable. I will definitely come back when I'm in the area again.

GermanyThis place is really quite unique! We stayed for 4 nights in the main house. It's a wooden house with several levels, all made from wood so it feels like you live in a cozy tree house. (There is even an actual treehouse you can stay in). You can tell, how much love and work is put into the place. There are decorative items like photos and objects from older days wherever you look, which gives an idea of the culture as well. There is also sitting areas outside all surrounded by nature. Especially if you like to hike it is a great startpoint. Our host, Marko, gave us a warm-hearted welcome and provided great dinner and breakfast (Always a good way to get in touch with other travellers). It feels like he genuinely enjoys what he is doing and puts so much love and work into this place. He's really generous and has aways a smile on his face. Since he is a hiking guide, he showed us great hikes, we could do in the area. I must say, that I was really overwhelmed by the hospitality and I'd definitely come back if I'm in this area again! Thank you! Hvala!

The guesthouse itself has a special charme to it, which made us feel at home and also makes it easy to connect with other travellers. We can only recommend taking the breakfast and dinner - great local food for a very good price! There was a free parking lot for guests.
