How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

Room is a bit older than i expected at this price (what is the ceiling fan doing up there? ). This isn’t a private beach by any means. Locals do flood to to the beach towards the end of the day giving the public beach vibe ( I am not against this, but just make it clear in your advertising or its misleading) We also had hotel staff knocking on our door at 10:30 pm regarding a dinner bill we need to pay (even though we had signed the bill and had another night to stay at the hotel) , a bit unprofessional. Generally speaking, there are better beach experiences for less money elsewhere.

Verified reviewAmazing beachfront views, lovely location, nice pool and relaxation amenities outside. Service was good with very helpful staff. Food was also great, seafood and pizzas were especially tasty.
There were some works to make hotel ready for peak summer season, sometimes a bit noisy. This was a small disturbance and wasn’t great to enjoy the seaside and quiet. Beach and pool areas were sometimes full of people that looked like they were on day passes. Some of them were unfortunately quite loud. Felt a bit too busy sometimes. Check in was rushed, no one provided basic info about amenities, meal times …etc. Overall good experience however.

They were doing renos outside our room. I had to walk over paint covered plastic to get in my room. The air quality was not so good. Drills and ladders. Wasn’t very great for what we paid. They did give me 20% off after I complained but still not good and put a big damper on our days there.

No cofee refill the second day (just a small detail) the pizza restaurant next to the beach allows chicha smokers and cigarettes inside the restaurant, which is not in accordance with expected standard, and which is not pleasant for som other non-smoking guests.

Verified reviewBeds were AMAZING. Most comfortable beds we had among the 10 hotels we stayed at during our road trip. Lots of options to hang out by the pool and on the beach. Room was super quiet and five-star interior. Since we went in spring the price for a night was very reasonable.
While it is good to have people check in on you, we had about five different people come ask us every 10 minutes. Way too much so it gave a feeling of disorganization. Food and drink prices were absurd. Yes, we are prepared to pay more for food on-property. But not 3x-5x the price of the same soda or same meal outside the property. Minor thing, but the balcony door didn't have a handle on the outside (?) So I had to keep it open until I stepped back in again.
