How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

Verified reviewBreakfast was very good. staff very nice and the Riad very comfy. Also the roundtrip to the airport was arranged very well!
One small thing.. the trip to the Agafay desert booked via the accommodation was a little overpriced. The trip itself was very good!

Verified reviewThe property is a great riad, breakfast was a fixed menu, the staff was nice, the location was good for people who want to live the real Medina
It could have been more clean, no change of towel, and we paid extra for the water in the room when it’s essential

Verified reviewThe location was excellent, right in the centre of the Medina. If you want to feel like you're staying in an authentic part of town, this was great. The hotel was very beautifully decorated. We loved the Moroccan designs and patterns. The room was comfortable, extra blanket and a shower. There was plenty of plug sockets, lights and a safe. Food is provided if requested, as are trips recommendations and journeys back to the airport. All staff were very friendly and helpful, they went out of their way to help us and accommodate our needs, and communicated in a variety of languages, such as English, Spanish, French etc. The room was secure and we were given keys to use throughout our stay.
Whilst the kitchen was open, the staff went out of their way to help provide for us. However, once closed, there was nothing available to help ourselves such as drink making facilities that we could access in the room or communal areas. It would be beneficial to have either a tea or coffee maker for guests to help themselves or/and a drinks machine for water or soft drinks. The hotel provided food for breakfast and dinner, if requested. We were a bit disappointed with the food. On the first evening we were given Moroccan Tagine, which was very flavourful. My husband enjoyed his and found it filling as he had the chicken. But the vegetarian option was just the vegetables, nothing else. A few slices of potatoes, sliced carrot and half a tin of peas. That was considered an acceptable vegetarian meal! There wasn't a menu and we had no idea what we were getting until it arrived. I think we were charged far too much for the quantity given, especially the veggie options, which was essentially the accompanying vegetables for the meat dish. The breakfast was described as Mediterranean. But sadly, it was not. The tiny pancakes and crepes were absolutely delicious, and had they offered us more I probably wouldn't be mentioning the breakfast now. However, besides the small crepe or pancake, there was a small piece of fruit (no choice), dry, stale bread (not toast), and a cake or biscuit. No cereal, yoghurts, choice of fruits, pastries, toast, eggs. It was more like a snack than a meal. Which was a shame, because the staff were so very lovely and helpful. I think if they could add to their menu, including a reasonable veggie option, add more choice to the breakfast and make drinks available in the rooms or communal area, I would give it 10/10. I would stay again, but eat somewhere else.

Verified reviewRooms were nice and clean. The staff was super available and very very welcoming. Discreet and peaceful atmosphere as there aren't many rooms. The riad is like a home and gives you the feel of the Moroccan tradition. Very quiet. The area in which the riad is located is about 25 min walk to the main square and only 5 min to the "busy area.
The terrace could be better taken care of, it would boost the experience for the clients.

Verified reviewFatima the cook was excellent, spoke English, Spanish, Arabic and Berber. The cleaner was great also...she understood English and did an excellent job. Thank you to Mohammed for taking me to the pharmacy when I was so ill.
The other employee Mo Mo was aggressive with trying to sell excursions, rude, did not speak English, angry and was the driver who was supposed to pick us up at the airport who didn't pick us up. He did not give us a receipt when we left so at the last minute we paid a lot more money in cash that we did not expect. The place is very hard to find,, luggage in a wheelbarrow has to transported..narrow streets and no mention of this online

Verified reviewNice rooms, clean , we were given a bigger room. Nice breakfast. Lovely Lady who did breakfast. Rooms always remade when we came back in.
Area is run down. No trouble at all though. Booked trips through the owner, and paid a lot more than should of done. He is also a tour guide and drove us to Ourika Valley, ate lunch with us and disappeared and we were left to pay for his. Very cheeky !!
Thanks for your comment. The guy who was with you is a driver not an owner! The owner don't have time to go with you to the mountain to pay him for lunch! If the price of the trips is high! Why didn't you buy with a travel agent for a cheaper price!!! Why didn't you tell the manager about your problems?

Verified reviewThere were a lot of friendly people cleaning the riad and the rooftop terras was provided with nice bed to relax on.
The pictures of the terras were romanticized. The pictures did not lie but made it look more cute. We thought the riad was provided with a rooftop swimmingpool, however this turned out to be a watertap with no water inside.

Verified reviewIt was truly exceptional having the opportunity to stay in a Riad in the heart of the Medina. The staff were so warm, friendly and helpful. Special mention to Mohammed who was indispensable and helped with everything from booking my excursions to walking me to the nearest ATM. As a solo traveller it meant the world to have an extra cushion of support and care.

Verified reviewVery large and tastefully furnished room. Comfortable bed and good wifi. The breakfast prepared by the ladies was good and varied. Their incredible courtesy.
The dinner was below expectations, but probably because it was heated in the riad and not cooked expressly.

Verified reviewThe staff were very friendly and attentive. The riad traditional and quiet. Our bedroom and bathroom were comfortable and adequate. The tagines were excellent.
The stairs to the upper floors need better hand rails. Some of the posts supporting the ropes were loose! The lighting in the bedroom, whilst varied and atmospheric, could have a brighter option also.
