How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

Verified reviewThe location could not be better. Right in the Medina of Asilah it is indeed like entering into an Oasis. All staff was amazing and friendly.

Verified reviewGreat location, good room sizes with adequate amenities. Great value for money when compared to European hotels/guest houses. Great breakfast Good optional dinner services Fantastic staff - Mohammed and those whose names I forget, we always on hand to help, including those 2 staff members who helped with our late/early morning check in and then our enforced (Royal Air Maroc!) check out and the new starter (former accountant) who is learning but carried out all duties with a smile and desire to help - a credit also to those staff members he is working with/shadowing.

Verified reviewEverything was wonderful. Very nice and attentive staff, especially the night manager, Youssef, went out of their way to help. Delicious food, excellent location, AC in all rooms now, adorable riad cat. Seamless transfer to Casablanca Airport. Would definitely return in future.

Verified reviewLovely Riad that feels like a home, with a cozy shaded garden for eating in the company of the resident turtles and cat. Beautifully decorated with a small pool and stunning views from the roof terrace. We also liked the breakfasts and dinners, delicious and prepared on site. But best of all was the welcoming, chilled and friendly staff, like Youssuf, Mohammed, Azzedine and Khalid, the owner. They are also very helpful and gave us good recommendations, like connecting us with Abdul, a nice taxi driver who shared some history about the town and the surroundings on the way to the excellent beach south of the town.
Nothing, everything was great

Verified reviewWe have just returned from this little place and it certainly stands up to its name. This little oasis is charming through and through, from the plunge pool which was a god send when temperatures reached 98’, to the sunsets on the roof terraces and to the different seating areas for your breakfast and dinners. The people were more than welcoming they went above and beyond to make our stay one we will never forget. Malika and Khalid have made this little corner of the medina into paradise, perfect for relaxing and exploring. All the staff were amazing Youssef, Mohammed went above and beyond and the cook made our food that was outstanding and inspired us to go and buy a tagine. Abdul (who we highly recommend) was our transfer to and from the airport was always on hand if we needed to go anywhere. He even took us to Chefchaouen which was over 2 hours away. Whilst on route he would tell us about the history of Morocco and its surrounding areas. This is one holiday we would never forget and has inspired us to return to explore more of this amazing country. So a massive thank you 🙏 for making our stay a true delight.
A kettle in the room to make a drink in the morning would of been good just so we could sit outside and admire the gardens before breakfast.

Verified reviewThe whole riad was tastefully furnished and all the staff were very helpful and friendly, all speaking good English. The food was prepared well and was always tasty. Some might say there was always too much to eat! The pool, although small, was a very pleasant way to cool off from the heat of the sun in the afternoon. The door to the riad was always locked requiring a bell to gain entry, so security was good. The walled medina was a delight with many (safe) nooks and crannies to explore.
Although paying for one of the best rooms in the riad, we were surprised there was no fridge and no security box. Our room had an air conditioner, while a few rooms didn't. Apparently, after several complaints, the owners will address this situation and install more. The Riad didn't serve alcohol, but many of the restaurants around the walls of the old medina did so no problem there. The only car park was on the exact opposite corner of the medina to the riad making a long walk to it, but luckily local men with trolleys were available to take our luggage for 50 dirhams.

Thanks Muhammad for bringing mint tea to the rooftop many times. The breakfasts and dinners were delicious. The hammam and massage were great.

Verified reviewWonderful team of people, including the owners and the wonderful Mohammed and Youssef who went above and beyond to make sure we had an excellent stay. The food was the best in Morocco - both breakfast and dinner. The location is excellent, the rooms quiet and the riad perfect for relaxing.
It would have been nice to have fruit at breakfast, but we never received any anywhere else either!

Verified reviewThe location, in the southeast corner of the medina, was quiet (although the "modern" city was just on the other side of the city walls) and easy to reach (a mostly straight, four-minute from the closest city gate). The breakfast was ample. And our room had a spacious patio overlooking a courtyard.
The shower head could have been more satisfying (although the hot water was fine). Some windows were difficult to open or close.

The room was very cold and a little humid. The other members of staff, in particular the lady, were not very pleasant. The hamman experience was ok, not the best.

Verified reviewThe property was in a great area – in the Messina, close to one of the babs (gates) but very quiet. Lovely rooms, downstairs, patio and terrace. Small pool. Hammam and massage area. Staff was excellent and accommodating. I had my first hammam and it was great. Already the massage to follow was lovely and relaxing. The owner arranged for a wonderful driver to take me to Chefchaouen the next day. Abdul was wonderful- kind and very knowledgeable and spoke many languages.
