Reviews of Riad Darna

The room was very charming, the staff were friendly and helped carry our suitcases up to the third floor and back down again. The view from the rooftop terrace was absolutely stunning, the breakfast was delicious, the air conditioning in the room worked perfectly, the bed was very comfortable, and the location was excellent.

You can’t drive directly to the riad, so it’s about a five-minute walk through the Medina, including some steps. If you have large or heavy suitcases, be prepared for this in advance.

Breakfast was ok

They did not change the bedsheets in the room.It was dirty and full of hair.The walls in the room were dirty and the plaster falling off.Nothing like in the pictures from booking.The bathroom was very dirty and nobody cleaned It.

Roof so beautiful Room very clean

I liked the view from the rooftop and the decoration of the whole riad. And I also liked breakfast, it was healthy and served in traditional plates.

A little bit challenging to find, but it goes with help of Gps. The room was to small for three beds. Staff was friendly.

Cleanliness and decorations

Rooms have 3*8 compartments for bedding within walls, no water within the room after a long walk to find the hotel. Breakfast was below average , mattress were saggy and needed replacement , room given to us was very small, not enough floor space , no tables or cupboards

Wifi is not working

Clean room, friendly staff, great breakfast, the place has a beautiful terrace, recommended.

The room and the bathroom were quite small. But we were aware of it, since it's mentioned in the description when booking the hotel.

The location is great, within the Medina and walking distance from center and markets. Terracw with great view.

As a group of women, we felt unsafe having to leave our room key every time we left the room. In addition, the main door is always closed and they say someone from reception is always there but it happened more than once that they weren’t and we were left waiting outside for a bit. Also, being at ground floor you hear absolutely everything, the doorbell and people on the street. The bathroom structure is horrible.

Absolutely great communication commencing several days before our stay with questions about transit and directions answered promptly and a very helpful video to take you to the door

A tiny ( and v hard) double bed that is suited more to people under 5.6! Unfortunately a member of staff spent 30 mins shouting and knocking very loudly near our room attempting to wake another member of staff at 3 or 4 am on the first night. Lovely cooked breakfast on an amazing balcony with spectacular views. Unfortunately no staff appeared to give us breakfast on the 2 nd morning / and we had to leave to get a bus

Hassan is the best

All staff of Riad was very helpfull, kind, pleasant, even for special request, which not included in their dutes. Hasan and Karim made our stay very enjoyable. If we will return to Tetuan we will definitely stay there again. Best regards Mirka, Lenka and Mima

Great location to experience Moroccan culture

Breakfast was okay, could be improved

The breakfast was included in the stay, it was incredible! It was a pretty traditional Moroccan breakfast that included Msemen (Crispy Moroccan Pancake), Traditional Moroccan Khobz (bread), olives, fresh cheese, cucumber and tomatoes and an omelette! Coffee, orange juice, and a free bottled water as well. It was truly magnificent and unexpected, I thought I would have to pay for it.

I think the beds could have been softer and it was a bit cold in my room but it was not uncomfortable at all! As a solo female traveler, I felt so safe here. All of the staff were incredible, especially Karim who was the server on the rooftop.

Not sound proof. Very noisy during the night. In imposible to rest. Not heating or air conditioner . Cold in winter… impossible during g the sumer
