How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

Verified reviewWe have just returned from a 4 night stay at the Riad de Vincent. Our hosts, Rashid and Lexan were great. A must would be organising the taxi direct with Rashid as finding the Riad would be a challenge and if a first time visitor to Marrakech, as we were, a little over whelming in terms of the hustle and bustle. A warm welcome with mint tea was waiting, once Lexan had guided us from the taxi, and all our questions answered in terms of how to get cash (closed currency) to an app for navigating with no WiFi and recommendations for food and sights. Felt extremely comfortable from minute one. Well done guys!
Not a lot to put here … as always the pool looks bigger in the photos but then we didn’t visit to swim and was great to cool off in.

Verified reviewThe accommodation was great with a lovely roof terrace and plunge pool. So, too, was breakfast, which was included. The staff were super friendly and accommodating. Overall, it is great value for money.
It is a quiet central location but only accessible on foot. There were 3 of us sharing a room, so more storage, eg, drawers or hooks to hang eg towels would be a useful addition.

Verified reviewThe staff were extremely pleasant, organising taxis, late dinner on arrival, and directing us to local facilities such as ATM and pharmacy. The beds were comfortable. The food was excellent. Riad de Vincent is located in the old city/medina, so it can only be reached on foot.
The old city/medina is difficult to find your way around.

Verified reviewThis Riad is absolutely lovely, it exceeded our expectations. We booked the transfer from the airport by recommendation of the Riad and we were guided the whole time. The breakfast is excepcional. We also ate dinner one night and it was delightful, no words. Our room was really comfortable and we had everything we needed in there. The staff - Rachid, was always super nice and helpful in our needs. Thank you Rachid, Vincent & his wife and the two doggies for making of this one a memorable stay! 5 ⭐

Verified reviewVery good staff, Rachid came to meet us at drop off point on the day of arrival, it would have been very difficult to find our way to the Riad otherwise, breakfast was good, staff members very polite. Owner Vincent was very welcoming.
There was a very bad smell in the bathroom, also very damp pungent smell on the upper level around the bed headboards where my two children had to sleep. The bathroom cabinet door under the sink did not stay locked, stairs had loose steps, one was tightened on our request, but stairs could do with thorough inspection to tighten all steps, doors can do with a bit of replacement, room was a bit dark despite lights on, there was one small wardrobe, can do with another one for a family stay, also there is no dressing mirror in the bedroom, chandelier needs cleaning as layers of dust visible, getting in to the Riad through narrow alleyway was tricky and when it rains there are muddy puddles

Verified reviewBeautiful inside, very clean and the food was delicious!
The 7 min walk from the taxi up the alley ways, not the nicest by yourself but the staff were absolutely amazing, were always there on time and were really friendly. I just wish I’d known about that before I arrived as it was quite a shock! I believe that most Riads are like that but I didn’t know that before I went.

Verified reviewVery beautiful and well laid out. Rooms are spacious and well decorated. The staff are so lovely.
Hard beds, very cold at night in winter, so take plenty of layers. The entrance to the road down a very dark alley and no sign on the front door.

Verified reviewThe welcome was wonderful and so accommodating to my dog (which we notified them of in advance. The roof terrace and plunge pool were a treat. The Riad was a tranquil haven away from the hustle bustle of the city. We also had a delicious meal cooked for us on our first night.

Verified reviewThe staff were amazing! We would have been lost without Vincent as it wasn’t the easiest place to find or get around by taxi, so the staff helped by walking us to the taxi rank and it was definitely worth arranging the airport transfer through Vincent too.
Not the fault of the Riad but we did find it a little difficult to get taxis to and from due to the location.

Verified reviewThe owners of the riad and staff were very friendly and helpful. The family suite is perfect for a couple and 3 children. I was by myself with my 4 children plenty of room. The roof terrace is really nice too.
The plunge pool is much smaller than it looks in the photos.

Verified reviewThe staff were faultless, attentive and helpful. Very clean property and well equipped rooms. The design and architecture of the building was beautiful. 10 min walk ish to the souks and a few lovely restaurants within a few mins walk. Property was a calm sanctuary away from the souks.
This could be our misunderstanding of property in Marrakech but we were expecting the pool to be so small, just but enough for 3-4 people to stand in. Not a swimming pool.

Verified reviewI really liked staying at Riad de Vincent. The property was very clean and I loved the rooftop with the pool. Our two floors room was awesome and the host was very kind and welcoming: he offered us tea and moroccan pastries at first, and in the end he also printed the boarding passes for us. We also enjoyed our breakfast :)
My only concern is the location of the property, which is found at the end of a narrow, dark street. The nearest accessible area for taxis is about 8 minutes walk, and the route you have to take is very busy and dirty. Dinner was a bit more expensive than the average but is was very good. Even though the rooftop was amazing, we found the little pool to be a bit dirty
Dear Samuelle, We were really happy to have the pleasure to host you. Thank you for having taken the time to write a review. About our location, we just like to remind you that we we have one of the best. 2 minutes walking from the souks and Medersa Ben Youssef. Only 3 minutes walking to the taxi drop off. Not 8 !! That is true that we are at the end of a small covered street, 100 % safe. Thanks to that, silence is perfect even on the terrace ! We hope to have the pleasure to host you again. All the best !
