How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

Verified reviewI had an amazing experience at Riad Dar Chacha! The service was exceptional everyone was incredibly kind, helpful, and went above and beyond to make me feel welcome. The entire place was spotless, beautifully maintained, and full of charm. On top of that, the location was perfect central, safe, and ideal for exploring the area. I’m extremely satisfied with my stay and can wholeheartedly recommend this riad to anyone looking for a warm, clean, and hospitable place to stay. I would definitely come back again!
Nothing to complain about

Verified reviewInitially, we were a bit apprehensive, as we've experienced places where the photos didn't match reality. However, our stay here was a delightful surprise, exceeding all our expectations! Fatima and Ahmed were absolutely fantastic and incredibly attentive, always offering us tea or fresh juice. The breakfast was great, and the beds were very comfortable. Plus, the location was ideal, just a 10-minute walk to the Main Square Jemaa El Fna.
To make an already excellent stay even better, we suggest adding an outdoor sign on the door; we weren't sure if we were at the right place when we arrived. Also, for breakfast, offering smaller portions of items like butter, cream, and jellies initially would be great. This would help prevent food waste, as we could always ask for more if needed.

Verified reviewOutstanding service, clean and big rooms. Big highlight was also the rooftop and the food there (Breakfast ist just delicous and the optionl dinner was probably the best I had in Marrakech). Mohamed is the good sould of the house and was extremely helpful with supporting me with any inquiry and request. Cherry on top was that they were very understanding when I booked dinner for two instead of one and allowed me to cancel last minute even though the ingredients were already bought.
Nothing, it was perfect

Verified reviewMohammed and Fatima looked after us incredibly well. Pierre was so helpful and always at the end of my Watsapp to answer any questions we had or organise any bookings/activities. The whole experience was fantastic. Our stay couldn't have been better. Thank you!
The only thing I would say is the pillows could have been slightly softer! But absolutely no complaints otherwise.

Verified reviewWOW WOW and again WOW. If I could give more than 10/10, I would. The first night we had a dinner made by Fatima and it was just the perfect start of our holidays. Every single person who works there is so kind and helpful.( Ahmed, Mohammed,…) The Riad is even more beautiful than on the pictures. Pierre really helped us with everything we needed even if there was a last minute request we had. When I was looking for riads often I saw bad reviews from other riads saying there was no hot water, no hangers,… this was not at all the case in riad dar chacha. Always hot water, a nice closet to hang your clothes, good airconditioning. The rooms only had a small lock but to be honest I wasn’t worried about that at all because everyone there is so honest and nice. Every time we came back in the afternoon we were welcomed with a refreshing juice as well. There is not even one bad thing I could say about this riad.

Verified reviewThis is a great riad to discover Marrakech. Located at the entrance to the Medina this small riad (5rooms) provides a wonderful breakfast, delicious dinners on request and has great staff. We stayed 3 nights just enough to explore the souks, visit the gardens, and take a day trip to Essouria. Highly recommend this riad for anyone visiting Marrakech.

Verified reviewFantastic property (decorated with exquisite taste and style), staff are good as gold and location could not be more perfect (slightly tucked away for peace and quiet but very short walking distance from everything worth visiting)! The riad owner is an absolute star and will go above and beyond to make sure you're looked after.
Beds were not exactly the comfiest? Bear in mind, my partner and I work at a mattress company so we're a bit spoiled in terms of sleep comfort but they could definitely do with switching to a better mattress. My partner struggled to get to sleep on some nights..could just have been our room though! It's also probably not the place for you if you want to lounge or plan on spending too much time at the property, since it doesn't have a pool or too many 'relaxing' spots.

Verified reviewRiad Dar ChaCha is a small Riad appropriately situated in the Marrakech Medina. Everything was excellent from the meal we took when we first arrived to the excellent breakfasts on the rooftop to the daily juice given after a hot day of exploring Marrakech. Pierre the owner gave us great advice when we first arrived on negotiating the Medina and places to visit. I would recommend this riad wholeheartedly.

Better signposting on the door of the Riad would make it easier to find.

Verified reviewIt was our first time in Marrakech. A beautifully decorated ( authentic but modern) and spacious Riad was beyond our expectations, it was so nice staying there. The location is excellent, only a few minutes walk to the Jemaa El-Fnaa & tin smith square, Bahia palace, secret garden& El Badi palace. Pierre was kind enough to welcome us on the phone and gave us lots of useful information. Breakfast on the roof terrace was nice, it is done so tastefully, it's an oasis just chilling out in the afternoon. They served us a freshly squeezed juice on our return in the afternoon which was so refreshing after walking in the hot sun. All the staff were friendly and helpful, thank you. We highly recommend it, 11 out of 10!

Verified reviewI was travelling with my 1 year old daughter, husband and mother; and all four of us were very well taken care of by Pierre and his fantastic team. The rooms are really lovely and so tastefully decorated, the lounge and outside terrace area in the riad are peaceful, and the staff are absolutely wonderful. All the staff members were so attentive and caring toward my daughter, which made the experience that much more special. We will definitely be coming again!

Verified reviewExcellent Breakfast and dinner, very complete. There is someone 24/7, Pierre and the whole team are extremely helpful and accommodating. Very good decoration of the Bedroom and of the Riad, really beautiful. All the food and drinks are home-made, every day an excellent fruit-juice is offered. We highly recommend this place
To reach the Souk, we have to go through a street where the traffic of moped is quite important and fast, so not super safe
