How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

The bed I took at the Marhaba hostel is really comfortable, in a secure and quiet room. The staff is wonderful, and the location is close to everything you could want, right in the city center.

Shower leaking
I had a great stay at this hostel, which is located right on the main square of the city — an ideal spot with excellent transport links and perfect for exploring the city on foot. There are cafés nearby that stay open late, and the city feels completely safe at all hours. Everything was very clean, and the place has clearly been recently renovated. The staff were incredibly kind and helpful, doing everything they could to make me feel at home. They explained everything in detail and even offered to accompany me if needed. There was always plenty of hot water in the shower. Highly recommended!

Water from shower spreading on the floor of all the WC. Living room size is limited. Toilet papers often missing.
Renovated. so not old inside. Friendly receptionists. Very comfortable beds and large lockers.

I’m a regular guest at Marahaba Hostel and always enjoy the friendly atmosphere and warm welcome. However, I’ve noticed a continuous deterioration in the bathrooms and toilets over time. Leaking water, broken taps and unfortunately, these issues never seem to get properly fixed. It’s the one thing that really affects the comfort of the stay, which is otherwise very pleasant.

No terrace and not much communal space. Bunk beds made a bit low so you can bash your head.

It’s hard to find the entrance because the sign is in the wrong place, located above a restaurant. The hostel is actually two doors down from the sign. It would be helpful to let guests know where the doorway to the hostel is. The bathroom kept running out of toilet paper, and the staff were very loud until late at night, which made it hard to sleep
The location is good. The beds are comfortable.

Plenty of water covering the toilet sol all the day. - The shower head was not fixed all the days of my stay so you cant shower properly

The signage could be improved - the existing is high up off the street & difficult to see among other signs. A large sign on the entrance door would be Great! The telephone number listed on Booking.com was not correct & gave no direct access to the Inn.
Welcoming staff were gracious, kind and supportive. Thank you particularly to Zakarie. The close proximity to the ATM bus depot is great.

I recently stayed at Hostel Marhaba and found it to still offer good value for the price. However, compared to my previous visits, I noticed a decline in the condition of the bathrooms, with some broken furniture, no toilet paper, and non-functioning flushes. The number of available showers has also decreased. Despite these issues, which should be addressed, I wouldn’t hesitate to return if the necessary repairs are made.

Putting some ceiling fans will be great .
It's one of the best Hostels in Morocco , , Everything was clean , the staff was great , and the best thing about this Hostel is the location . it's located in the perfect place in Tétouan .

I loved the place it was calm and in a great location , but it would be perfect if u add bed curtains in girls dormitory to keep privacy while sleeping , also add locks with keys in the locker 🙏🥰

bathrooms could be better, very small space, seperated into toilet and shower so very very small.
This is in a great location not far from the medina and CTM bus station. The staff were welcoming and friendly, The room was fine, typical of a hostel with lockers for your stuff.
