Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United Statesn/a. Everything was great!
The location was unbelievable! Nestled right inside the Medina but also a staircase away from being in the outer part, you just can’t beat it. It makes exploring the city easy and you get the best of both worlds, as you can catch a quick taxi to return to the hotel from the city. The hotel’s decoration is beautiful, a mix of modern and traditional. Our room, the Blue room, was small but comfortable. The views to the ocean were stunning and the bed was perfect. We found the hot water to be the best in our stay in Morocco, and the bathroom itself was nice and working perfectly. The host Abdel was super friendly and arranged for someone to help us with our luggage. He also made sure to send us a great list of recommendations for good restaurants which we tried and he even told us which one to avoid. I had to work remotely from this location and the internet was super fast and reliable. We loved this place and would definitely return!

NetherlandsGreat location, especially if you’re arriving by ferry. Abdel was a very nice host and made our stay very comfortable. Every morning he prepared a delicious breakfast for us, he gave great restaurant recommendations and helped us with arranging the very early morning taxi to the airport. Would definitely recommend and book again!

United StatesBreakfast is good but the price is too high compared to eating in restaurants. The room feels always a bit humid, but that’s probably normal at the ocean.
Very helpful, many recommendations, very fast answers. The room is nice; great view to the sea. Shower and AC work well. The location is 3 - 5 minutes walk off the main action area, which is great for sleeping at night

United KingdomOur room was a little noisy & damp, but this is hard to avoid in the Medina and being right by the sea!
The staff were very helpful and gave lots of good recommendations. The terrace and main areas of the accommodation had stunning views out over the harbour and the sea front. The property is in a very convenient location. The breakfast was delicious.

United StatesI think it might be time to purchase some new towels. 🤔 But....that is the only suggestion I can make. Otherwise, the bed linens were great and the bed itself was very comfortable. The wifi worked well throughout the building. I had a small terrace that looked out over the ocean. Loved being just inside the medina walls.
It is the staff that makes this place a gem. Abdellatif was incredibly welcoming and helpful with any question or request that I had. He arranged a half day tour for me through the medina with Mocine, who was an excellent guide. He also arranged a rose oil massage with Sarah in a space in the hotel that was nurturing to the spirit. Abdul made me a delicious breakfast each morning served up on the terrace, beautifully presented. I felt very much taken care of with this level of hospitality from both of them.

United KingdomNo issues at all with the property or staff – everything was excellent. Just a heads-up: in Tangier’s old town, you might encounter several locals offering hash, some uncomfortbale looks, or asking for tips. Not a problem for seasoned travellers or those exploring with others.
Excellent location in the heart of Tangier’s medina, within the historic Kasbah area. Perfectly situated for exploring the old town, it’s within easy walking distance of many key attractions, including the Kasbah Museum, the Grand Socco, the Medina souks, and several galleries, cafés, and viewpoints overlooking the sea. The restaurants recommended by the property, such as Kebdani, Dada, and La Terraza De La Medina, didn’t disappoint. Staff were very friendly and helpful. The room was clean, comfortable, and offered a stunning view of the bay, the Strait of Gibraltar, and Tangier beach. Breakfast was generous – fruit cocktail, omelette, coffee with refills, orange juice, and bread served with four dips, including Moroccan cheese and other local delicacies. Bread and Moroccan pastries were also provided. It kept me full for most of the day and was excellent value. For those who appreciate travel as cultural engagement rather than mere sightseeing, this setting provides a rewarding base for a seasoned traveller looking to embrace the authenticity and vibrant hustle and bustle of old Tangier.

United StatesSome steep walking but that could just be me since I'm 80. But guides were great in slowing down the pace and I thank them for that!
Very welcoming; felt like a guest in someone's home. Pretty setting overlooking the water. The guides were very good despite my short stay I did get a feel for the city. And the host gave a brief tour on my way to the airport.

United StatesIt's all about the view --- from my room and from the terraces --- overlooking the place where the Atlantic and the Mediterranian come together --- perfection. The riad is filled with beautful art work and furniture. The lounge area outside my room (also with a view of the sea) was ideal for a little afternoon reading. Excellent, spacious room, great breakfast and first-rate hospitality. Our host was helpful with dinner reservations and ways to navigate the medina. I'd stay here again in a second.

United StatesAbdel was very accommodating for a very late check in from delayed flight (after 1am) kept in constant communications via whatsapp. There was a fee for late check-in, but that's understandable as they didn't advertise a 24 hr reception desk. Abdel also gave suggestions on sites to visit and helped arrange taxis and recommended various options. Nice location at edge of medina wall and ine of the gates. Can see seat port from terrace.
