How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

Verified reviewCool little hotel nestled just in front of the Sahara desert is pure bliss in such a hot environment the pool was clean and refreshing and the stand out staff member was Yusuf (unsure of spelling) he made our stay fabulous remembering both our names and nothing was a problem he always had a smile and answered our many questions and his English was very good. If all staff members were like this man in Morocco - happy days. Kasbah Mohayut one day i hopefully will come back with more family members.
Nothing it was all great

Verified reviewThe people are so nice. They arranged a special birthday for my daughter in the desert. The hotel is comfortable and relaxing. We stayed in the family room which was so big and they cleaned and changed the towels and bedding each day. The pool area is nice, relaxing and clean and towels are provided. Would highly recommend.

Verified reviewNice hotel with beautiful outside space and seating. The best thing about this hotel is how close it is to the desert - you can just walk into the desert easily and there are gorgeous views from the terrace. Also, the staff was very friendly.
There is probably not much the hotel can do about it but we had two cockroaches in the bedroom.

Verified reviewVery nice Hotel, very friendly people.
Booked a stay in the desert with the Hotel. They promised something (camp in dunes) which was not delivered (got camp on the border of the desert). After some argueing we got driven to a proper camp, but we missed the sunset and didn't get a breakfast in the camp

Verified reviewThe property and facilities were are kept very well and are clean. Great views from the top terrace. A lot of space to sit around in the garden and around the pool. The staff is really helpful and kind.
In the communications before the arrival it seemed like the (additionally booked) desert camp was far away in the desert, while it’s only a few meters into the dunes. It was not a problem, but came as a surprise.

Verified reviewI liked how accommodating the staff was and how easily accessible the hotel was. We took the bus from fez and walked from the nearest village to the hotel and got an early check in. We arrived at 6am and took a nap and then had a late breakfast. Everything was perfect and we extended our stay for one more night to enjoy the sun. They also offer a lot of activities and good lunch and dinner. Our room was very comfortable and we enjoyed our time at the hotel.
The WiFi didn't work in the room but that's ok I watched TikTok's at the pool in a sun bed.

Verified reviewThe location was excellent and the grounds were uniquely beautiful. It was only a 2 minute walk to the dunes and there were great food options in Hassilabied, only a 5 minute drive away. Our "family room" was large and comfortable.
When we were there, the hotel restaurant only offered a fixed menu option which wasn't great for our young family. We opted to eat dinner at an outside restaurant instead, but the hotel breakfast was good.

Verified reviewLocation and size of room was great but condition of the accommodation needs updating and repair. Dining room staff were very friendly but front entrance staff were indifferent and seemed to lack interest in customer service. No information was received that you needed to hand in your room key to get housekeeping service. Court yard gardens were nice.

Verified reviewWe spent one evening here, and it was wonderful. We got a lovely big room in another building next to the big kasbah called 'the dune house', very pretty. The owner was waiting for us to give a tour of the house and was very welcoming. The dinner offered in the hotel was very good. We got to do stargazing with binoculars and laser while the owner told us about all the stars and how the nomads used them to navigate, very interesting. The breakfast the next morning was just lovely with a superb view. Would totally recommend, and especially the stargazing!!
