Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

AustraliaThe most hospitable host we have had in Morocco. Kind, friendly and nothing was too much trouble. Beautiful views and very comfortable rooms. Located on the otherside of the valley to the main road, you pass through the grove to get to it, and easy route and leads to a perfect location. I highly recommend staying here.

GermanyOur stay at Gîte Imarin in the Aït Bougomez Valley was unforgettable! The location is absolutely beautiful – peaceful, remote, and surrounded by breathtaking nature. What truly made our experience special was the incredible hospitality and generosity of our hosts, Ibrahim and Mohammed. The food was another highlight – incredibly delicious and there was always more than enough. A truly authentic and heartwarming experience. Highly recommended!

GermanyAs many others mentioned before, the last few kilometers on the dirt road are challenging for a two-wheel drive. Would not recommend to drive there at night or with a low-clearance car. Also, we paid 15€ for dinner which is a bit pricey, however, it was tasty.
Very friendly staff and great breakfast. Beautiful views from terrace.

A simple but beautiful space to explore the Ait Bouguemez valley, with a manager and staff who went out of their way to be hospitable and accommodating. Unbeatable views and exceptional taglines.

United KingdomHot water is limited - just something to be aware of. Heating is only via small electric fans in rooms which are limited via the amount of overall available power at the site - again - not a negative - just something to be aware of.
The host and hospitality made our stay. Look, it is very basic but that's exactly what you're going to get in this area of Morocco. After arriving frozen on our motorcycles we were greeted with warm drinks and immediately the fire was lit for us.

United KingdomSituated amongst the orchards of the Ait Bouguemez valley this little haven is the perfect spot to stay and use as a base to explore the area. The hospitality is second to none with friendly service along with plentiful breakfast and delicious home cooked dinner. The rooms are comfortable and the showers hot. If you want to step back in time and see unspoilt countryside inhabited by a people living and working as they did 50 years ago, this is the place for you

Literally everything. Great location. Away from any noise. Just next to beautiful orchards in this lovely Happy Valley. The food was excellent and plentiful. The staff were incredibly helpful and friendly. We would have liked to have stayed longer. It was really nice to feel that it was a house shared with the host family. A great ambiance.

BelgiumThis has been our best stay in Morocco. The guest house is located in the middle of the wonderful valley of Ait Bougemmez. The view from the terrace is amazing. The building is made out of traditional materials and is therefore naturally fresh inside (air conditioning really not needed at all). We stayed four days and could made amazing long hikes on our own thanks to the suggestions of the owner and his brother. Great breakfast and delicious dinner!!!

Czech RepublicNothing - but be aware that you have to cross about 1 km of stony dirt track to reach the house and have to drive carefully (that's the price you pay for the seclusion). Difficult to find the first time, so make sure you have the host's phone number with you.
A beautifully refurbished old house in the valley, a bit detached from the village, with a terrace surrounded by orchards and spectacular mountains. Enjoying the views in the quiet, with just birds singing, is a comfort to the soul. The hosts are friendly and generous - after we arrived a day late because of car trouble, they let us stay a day longer without extra payment (the room had not been booked for that day) and helped us with rearranging our onward schedule. They also cook very tasty Moroccan food that you can order in advance (except breakfast, which is included in the price).

DenmarkOne should be prepared to drive by a stony dirt road across the valley to Gite Imarin. Locals are very helpful in showing the way. There is a signpost for Gite Imarin on the main road, but easily overlooked as the colours are yellow and light blue - a more prominent signpost would be helpful. There is also a little longer but not so steep dirt road leading to the house.
GIte Imarin is a rather modern house in the apple tree plantation. The interior design is simple as you see in most riads or gites in this isolated valley high in the mountains. A base for walking tours or trekking. Breakfast and dinner is cooked by the owner and are plentiful. The area deserves at least two or three days to be appreciated

PortugalThe owner could do something about the access. I know the rain caused a lot of damage to the roads. The place looks a little tired, can do with some paint and other fixes. Internet cannot handle too many people at once. Plastic around.
It is a beautiful trip to get to the place. You know where you are going when booking this. It is not the best place, but very good considering where you are. We were happy with the food and the coffee. The man in charge was very helpful. The place is basic and clean. We had a 4-bed room with the 2 of us. Enough space for our motorbike stuff. Bathroom is simple, but good, hot water. I think this is an ideal place for hikers and motorbikers. But people also arrived in a Corolla from Marrakech.
