How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

Verified reviewAmazing location and great food for breakfast as well as restaurant for dinner
Rooms are very outdated and small. You don’t get the basic amenities like shampoo and conditioner but rather some antibacterial wash that they say can be used as anything.

Verified reviewI liked the room with sauna and jaccuzi! Room is big and bathroom with sauna is big also! The sauna is spacious and warm! There are lots of cupboards and chairs, things fit very well. There is also a big fridge!
This is a first floor room and the windows open directly onto the street.

Verified reviewThe location is the only positive aspect.
Ugly, dusty, dark and crowded. Under no circumstance is this hotel 4*, 2* at most. We were given a different room than the one booked over the Booking platform. The reservation was done 6 months prior, so it's not as if they did not have time to prepare. The room size we booked was ~58 sqm, in reality had less than half. And was supposed to include (as per the confirmation detailes): toilettries, a safety deposit box, an iron and a hair dryer. In reality there were 2 soap dispensers out of which one empty, a safety deposit box you could use if you had a key, no iron and a hairdryer that was a safety hazard. When addressing the matter to the person at the front desk we were told that what we see on Booking is informative only. And that the pictures are old - as if that was common knowledge. Superior room here means it has a bathtub. They offered to fill in then empty soap dispenser but we prefered to buy ourselves. Also, clean bettings we laying around on the hallway, in front of the room, one day ahead of check-out. The breakfast was disappointing too.

Outside Terrasse a but dirty
Dear Thomas! Thank you for your review and feedback! We do check and clean the terrace every morning. But the problem is that now is a very busy and dynamic period. People are hanging out there (sometimes even all night) - we just can not do it after each visit. So what you might have seen - was just a random situation , when cleaning was in the process or something similar. Best Regards, Arthur Best Regards, Arthur

Verified reviewLocation is great, receptionist was helpful and friendly.
- very outdated room - room had some weird smell. There was no window to open instead there was door to go outside but it was locked (had glued key in the lock). Was very hot too but air conditioning wasn’t working either. Me and kids had really bad night when we stayed there (room11) - Room itself was very dark - Towels were very old too in the bathrooms, I would throw them away long time ago - breakfast was packed and it could be organised a bit better or at least separate hot and cold food in different areas so it would be easier to get something you need without standing in a long queue just for extra jam or pastry. - had to go back to reception to ask for the safe key, I think it should be offered straight away when we were doing check in

Verified reviewThe room was quite large and clean with big windows. The bed was comfortable and it was quiet (especially with double windows to the street). The staff were lovely and the breakfast was good. The location was excellent - right at the edge of the old town, near the bus stop for the airport bus (No. 22), and a few minutes walk from the bus and train stations.
I probably would not have written anything here if the hotel wasn't vastly overrated as 4-star (on booking.com anyway). It was fine and comfortable but more like 2.5-stars, imo. My reasons: Impossible to sit on the toilet without the lid falling onto your back, Poor quality liquid soap and no shampoo or body lotion, Small and tired looking shower, Thin towels with threads hanging off them, A small stereo cd player! A old style tube tv, Only two teabags provided - no coffee or milk (description says kettle and a tea/coffee maker), the "juice" at breakfast was low quality, whereas the rest of the breakfast was pretty good.

Verified reviewLocation excellent for exploring the city. Good breakfast.
Room was as described with a roof window, however, there was a very flimsy see-through curtain over it so it let in a lot of light from dawn which made sleeping difficult. Need to bring an eye-mask

Verified reviewEasy walk from train station abd then into Old Town. Room was large, AC worked well, nice to have fridge and lift to upper floors. Breakfast included, friendly, helpful staff. Enjoyed the covered outdoor space for an afternoon drink.
Older hotel, lighting in the room could be brighter. Room where food for breakfast is provided is tight due to tables there as well. Can sit in 2 other rooms which are tight as well, or sit outside. Luggage storage is in one of these rooms so not a locked space.

Verified reviewCute, quirky hotel. It met all our needs. Excellent location. Located in the old town, convenient access to Old Town sites, central market, bus station and step to bus stop for bus that runs to Airport. We had a Jr Suite, room was spacious, bed was super comfy and good size bathroom. This hotel isn't shiny and new but we loved the old time character of the furnishing in the room and in the lobby and halls. Breakfast had a good selection to fill you up for a day of sightseeing
