The lockers for the door (makes a lot of noise).

Very serene location surrounded by the beautiful park. The beds were very comfortable. Spacious bathroom. Everything was cozy and clean.

The Suite room was booked for 3 people, however there were only 2 glasses, wine glasses, and hand towels. Unpleasant smell of fried fish in the hallway, it's good that the smell didn't get into the room.

Wonderful location. There are many attractions around. It's a good place if you want to relax in nature. The breakfast is modest, but quite enough and tasty (it’s just a pity the pancakes were cold). Part of the restaurant is located on the terrace. On the second floor, there is a place where you can drink tea (there is a kettle, tea, cookies) and play board games. There is a bookshelf.

There was only shampoo in the bathroom. No shower gel. And I was looking for cup of Coffee, but there was tee only in the hall.

Beyond excellent experience! Communication from the hotel was clear and timely, check-in was clear and I really like the system - no pressure if the drive takes longer or shorter to get there. Room was clean, beds were cozy and comfortable, it was quiet outside for great sleep. I was blown away by the wonderful surprise greeting in celebration of international women's day the hosts had prepared. The breakfast was excellent and we are very grateful for the kindness of staff to make a special arrangement so we can be our best heading into the day. If the event returns to Smiltene, I know where we'll be staying! Thank you!

In order to get a 10 review, some minor improvements would be needed, like addition of couple local extra ingredients for the breakfast and maybe modernization of the shower. Maybe add info leaflet in the room as well, since outside summer season the restaurant is closed and there may we'll be no staff around on arrival day.

Good breakfast covering the basics, no surprises there... besides actually including grape juice :) Extras to consider adding: Pelēkie zirņi. Also excellent Latvian muesli anti-ox products do exist, so could avoid foreign choices there.

Maintenance of the building overall was not so well done. There was renovation ongoing so I think the situation will be better in the future.

Good basic hotel. Currently surfaces were quite old, but we were informed that there is ongoing renewal in the near future. The food was good and also the service level by the personnel

Very good hotel in very beautiful and romantic place. Room was large, breakfast was tasty. Everything requested was prepared, although we have booked only one day prior. No concerns at all.

Everything , team, design, view, location, cleanest, homely atmosphere

The property is wonderfully situated in the very center of marvelous old park with small ponds, fountains, waterfall and paths in the park with magnificent views and wooden bridges. Not far from the hotel is Smiltene Stonehedge - a place I would recommend to visit. The hotel is very clean, the staff is very friendly and the rooms are wonderfully equipped. We had a suite and we liked it a lot starting from design and view and very comfortable bed. There is a hall where you can make tea and the breakfast was very nice and tasty. if you want you can have dinner in the restaurant in the hotel.
