It was right next to the river. The hotel was very clean. The towels were fabulous.

The room was cosy. The fixed hairdryer was not located near a socket so was unusable.

Very friendly staff, large air-conditioned room, great Asian restaurant on site!

The breakfast was a bit disappointing: bread and pastries didn't taste very fresh, and it's a shame for vegetarians that they only have scrambled eggs already mixed with bacon (just keep it separate so everyone's happy). The entrance to the hotel is also not very clear. Towels were very hard.

No sound insulation, could hear sounds from other rooms, water drain was clogged.

The hotel itself, the standard of the furnishings are nice. But the owner/manager ruins it. The Chinese family who run the restaurant are pleasant.

The manager is a tetchy man. Luke warm check-in. Every interaction was uncomfortable. I arrived and he almost charged me for another person's booking, if I hadn't questioned the price AND insisted. He thought he was right and sure of it. I called the booking.com number which wasn't working, tried the restaurant and said "I'm in the hotel room -301, I have an issue with the television" he immediately got flustered, saying "no, you can't be, I'm at the reception". Getting more and more angry every time he said it. He then said "can't you speak french?". Extremely rude. I'm baffled as to why you'd speak to your customers like this? The guy is running "The White Swan" and uses English to communicate with Germans, Dutch, and Spanish. You learn it for a reason, right? Its useful for a hotel 🙄. He then realised I was in the hotel and changed his tune and said it's a connection issue.. It wasn't. It's an issue with you. Dinner, which I was told I could have on the first floor on the balcony..again, rude. I ordered a drink and he came back up to get my order, I asked if I could give him my main choice when I received my starter. Well, that got him going again. "Could you just tell it to me all now, I don't usually come up here for one person, I can bring it all up in one go" Three courses in one go? I was in shock. He was visibly agitated. Four star? I said I'd come down and collect it. At this point I'd had enough. He sent the Chinese restaurant owners/staff and they are much more courteous. ROOM - Shower is very small, so much so it's on your face. No joke! It leaks all over the floor into the bedroom. (See other persons review for photo) Toilet is extremely close to the sink unit. Can just barely sit on chair at desk. No lamp, No AC, just a fan. No plug socket by the desk to boil the kettle?. You have to use the floor or bedside.

The breakfast was good

Very run-down hotel with shabby, worn carpets, worn furniture. We had a room with view of rusting and leaking courtyard roofs that were covered with planks. Upon arrival we were told we should leave our bikes in the street. Only 25% of the lights in the ceiling worked in the room, same for the mirror above the sink. The tiny bathroom did not have any ventilation so all the moisture went into the room, so they duct-taped the smoke-detector shut. Bit of a fire hazard.

Parking the car can be difficult at times; The bedclothes were itchy; The bathroom door handle was broken; No shower gel available; The room in general was a bit dusty and we could see some cobwebs; The breakfast was average.

Staff were lovely. Food in the restaurant superb. The bed was really comfortable. Bus just outside the door. All in all a really great place to stay.

Lovely location on banks of Mosel River. Some lovely individual touches such as travel essentials in bathroom drawer, room slippers and best surprise was to find the restaurant was Chinese and SE Asian. Service excellent.

Bathroom in room was postage stamp size, layout in it was awful making it near impossible to get in the shower without almost breaking the shower door off. It opened against the sink and the toilet. A curtain would have been better on this occasion.

The area was nice. The hotel clean. The breakfast is planned at from 8. They prepared it for me at 7.15 and it was very good. Only the plastic marmalade is not my thing. The room was clean, but very small, no lights and plags at the bed.

The price for such a small room.

Great food at the chinese restaurant!! Amazing sushi rolls ! Very nice people too.

The room was very small, power outlet for mini fridge was broken, the bed had a large headpiece which took away much of the length of the bed, which was already short for me (2.00m). The bathroom was a joke ! I did not fit in the very small shower cabin, just could not get in. Glad we only stayed one night.

Location was great. A real gem. Excellent breakfast staff friendly and helpful.

Nice people, good breakfast, and a comfortable bed. For a comparatively low price it was a very good stay, despite some minor issues mentioned below.

The bathroom was rather small and could use some maintenance. Also, after you use it, a very loud fan goes on for about 10 minutes - not that nice during night time. If you leave the room without the window open it fills with some dump smell.

Loved my stay at White Swan Hotel! Every staff member was warm, helpful, and genuinely friendly. Their service made me feel right at home. Would definitely come back!

Reception services were minimal. The small room (single) was badly laid out making access to parts difficult - same problem in the shower room.

The hotel is well located, the staff is good, but inexperienced. The breakfast is nothing special, the coffee machine is too small for a hotel, food was often missing, so you always have to ask for refills. There is quite a bit of road noise in the room.
