How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

Verified reviewA nice friendly place for a stopover. We knew there was no aircon but we were fine with the good fan
All good

Verified reviewWe arrived early and were able to check in very early! Room was very nice and a good size. Window curtains kept light out well. Despite overlooking a car park, the sunset view was nice.
Getting to our room was confusing; walk behind reception desk, up stairs, push a door, then pull the next door, but watch your step, etc. With the somewhat italian-style shower, you couldn't shower without splashing the floor. No mini fridge. Only one chair in the room. Air conditioning didn't really work.

Verified reviewHotel easily accessible by public transportation (direct bus to Luxembourg and Bettembourg). Room with all the necessary facilities. Straightforward check-in and check-out procedure. Staff very kind and helpful.
As usual, hotel prices are pretty high in Luxembourg. Limited options to buy food locally.

Verified reviewRoom was very spacious and had an a/c which was heaven sent in the hot summer days

Verified reviewFairly quiet place with comfortable room. It is only about 15 min. drive from the Luxembourg city while being less expensive than hotels in the city. Air conditioning worked well. Breakfast was sufficiently good. Staff was very friendly. Public parking is available just 50 m away. It appeared to be free on Saturday/Sunday, not sure about working days. The hotel is combined with a restaurant but we did not use it.
It is a minor concern but the location is a bit away from any grocery shops. I am thinking that if one day the hotel installed a small vending machine for some snacks and soft drinks, it would further increase the comfort of staying there.

Verified reviewWe searched for a location "on the way". This was it. The parking is only on street, they do not provide reserved or free parking. It is free after working hours until 8 AM and weekends. The hotel has a good restaurant onsite with a good food. Service is very good both in the restaurant and hotel. Rooms was big enough. WiFi is ok, stable. Breakfast simple, but was enough of different options and not too much to complain about.
Rooms do not have air conditioning, so the ventilator was put as an option. But is is loud and not nice, so we had to open windows during the night, but expect some noise from the street, even though it is a quite town, so at night it is not that much car noise.

Verified reviewVery clean
I booked it as to single beds since I am with my daughter. There are 2 single beds but against each other so it is basicly still a twin bed with 2 matrasses. The shower is very small. You can't bend properly to wash your feets.

Verified reviewThe room was spotless and very comfortable. The bathroom was clean and there was air con in the room. The location is good, very quiet but a short bus ride from the city. Hotel very quiet. Staff were friendly enough. Would use again but would buy breakfast at the bakers down the road.
Breakfast was €16 pp and we didn't feel it was worth it. Not a huge choice and the fly buzzing around put me off. Only boiled eggs, no cooked breakfast. No breakfast tea either. In the room there was a coffee machine but would have preferred a kettle to make tea rather than strong coffee. Bar closed at 9pm so didn't eat or drink there apart from breakfast. Roeser is very pretty but was a ghost town. Nowhere to grab any snacks or food adhoc.

Verified reviewThe staff was very kind when we decided to have our breakfast on the day. They were friendly and accommodating. very nice buffet breakfast with a large choice.
The TV in one of the rooms did not work. The showers were ok but the water did not get very hot.

Verified reviewRoom was a good size, close to bus stop and a 15-min walk to the next village for the train (although due to renovation there are no trains until September 2025 - just something to note!)
I understand that it’s not the property’s fault but there were very loud roadworks basically under my window which started at 7.30am. I think it would be a good idea to warn guests about this. Luckily I was out quite early every day anyway

Verified reviewproximity to the city, nice personnel, and rich breakfast
The rooms need proper investment in renovation, bed mattresses, door adjustment as they are very loud, and heating radiator fixes as some are not functioning and are replaced with electric radiators. For the same amount, a little further you can find better conditions.

Verified reviewA great hotel in a quiet area only 20 minutes bus ride into the city. Getting into the hotel was a challenge but we called the phone number and the manager came straight away. He was great and really helpful. The rooms were nice with a great shower. The breakfast had a good selection. There is a free bus into the city only 3 minutes walk down the road which was easy to find and use. We managed to park for free behind the hotel which was a bonus. We'd definitely recommend this hotel.
Hard to check in but a quick phone call solved the problem. The manager didn't speak great English but we all managed to get by.
