There was no air conditioning and it was hot. The windows faced the noisy side and we didn't sleep until 3 a.m.

Very good location, friendly staff, and very good breakfasts.

With no surprise given its prime location, there is some noise until late because of the bars and restaurants with street seating all around the hotel. However, the double windows are very effective in cancelling most of the noise and it did not impact our sleep.

Pretty boutique hotel, right in the centre of Luxembourg, with spacious, comfortable, high-end rooms.

This is not a negative about the hotel, per se, but do note that late-night noise from restaurants and tourists in the street made it impossible to keep the windows open at night when sleeping. Once closed, they blocked most of the sound.

This hotel is perfectly located for exploring Luxembourg City, with main attractions, shops and great restaurants within walking distance. The staff were friendly and helpful, and our suite had a separate sitting area, making it a comfortable stay. The bed was okay, and the wifi worked well throughout. No air conditioning, but we didn’t need it in early May. If driving, park at Knuedler Parking (google maps have it marked). It's a 5-minute walk away, and accomodates larger cars.

The only disadvantage of this hotel is the noise caused by the activity outside early each morning. Given the (really good) central location this is unavoidable and not something that can be mitigated.

Having stayed here a few times it was, once again, nice to have a spacious, clean suite with comfortable bed and useful features like bathrobe, tea / coffee / minibar / slippers. Really friendly welcome and helpful staff throughout.

Good location and decent hotel, ruined by rude front desk staff.
    • Leisure trip
    • Family with young children

The front desk was a disaster. When we arrived (not too late, around 7 pm), we needed to wait for an administrator for a good 20 minutes, searching everywhere and asking kitchen staff to find someone to give us our keys and settle us in. After a long trip, it was not convenient at all. The situation worsened the following days with absolutely terrible treatment from another administrator, Mehdi (at least, this name was on his badge). He accused us of not paying the fees for our cat while we were ready to do so from the very beginning according to the booking conditions, but we had not been asked yet. He was incredibly rude, shouting at us and accusing us of having both a cat and a dog, claiming someone had seen us with a dog and that it was prohibited to have two pets in the same room. It was a surreal experience—in the middle of your New Year family holidays you are being at the hotel front desk together with your family, and the administrator is shouting at you, doesn't let you say a word, and accuses you of impossible things! We have never faced such behavior from anybody before. There was also a messy situation with keys reprogramming due to the switch of our bookings, where admins showed their carelessness regarding guests' needs and proper timing. But compared to the experience with Mehdi, it is not even worth mentioning. From the facilities point of view, the extra bed provided for the third person in the room was really inconvenient - it was a creaky pull-out bed with a very slim mattress. Be prepared for this when asking for an extra bed there. All the pillows were very flat, although the rest of the bedding was good. It would have been nice to have a simple Nespresso or similar coffee machine in the room in addition to the electric kettle, as the provided instant coffee sachets felt outdated for the room price.

Perfect location in the heart of Luxembourg, making it an ideal base for exploring the city. The windows provided excellent sound isolation from fireworks, petards, and street noise, which was especially important on New Year's Eve. The room was equipped with an electric kettle and a small fridge, adding to the convenience. The toilet and shower room were clean and modern, and the room was comfortably warm. Administrator Christian (sorry if I misspelled the name) was really helpful, and the cleaning lady was very kind and polite. Plus, the hotel is pet-friendly, which was a big plus for us.

I occupied Suite 30. This suite is good as it does not face the main street where a lot of noisy bars are. Esp weekends. It is quite soundproofed. It did however have a very pungent mildew odour. I reported it to reception but almost no feedback and solution. The pillows in this room were too flat. Only 2 pillows way annoying. The breakfast was disappointing and expensive.

Location was perfect. Close to restaurants and bars.

Unfortunately this hotel is adjacent to several bars that stayed noisy into the early morning so it was extremely difficult to sleep. Weekdays may be better.

Very well located in the historic centre with plenty of restaurants near by. The room was spacious and clean with a lovely sitting area. Staff were helpful and breakfast was amazing.

Lovely mostly but RUINED by having to sleep in a soaking wet bed

On Friday 1st November there was a very strange incident .. we can only conclude that the femme de chambre spilt water onto the bed by accident and - perhaps short of time? - proceeded to continue to make it - perhaps hoping that it would dry by the time we came to bed. 1) Every morning I always pulled the duvet back to air the bed. I also lifted the pillows to air the top of the bed 2) We had a long and tiring day because we did the 8-hour nature and castles tour 3) That night we had a blocked toilet and I had to go downstairs to ask the Concierge for a plongeur 4) The Concierge brought the plongeur to our room and cleared the toilet 5) Because of this it was very late by the time I shot into bed 6) To my HORROR my side of the bed was SOAKiNG wet. Not just a little damp but soaking wet. 7) I had to put the lights on, wake my husband and look at the bed 8) It was wet through right to the lower mattress 9) We were speechless. We just could not understand it. 10) There was no water by my bed. Every night I half-filled a big glass from the restaurant downstairs and every morning I drank the water. 11) If someone had spilt water you would think the water would have gone on the TOP of the duvet - !! 12) But this was water all over the inside of the bed and the back of the pillow which was also wet 13) It was so late and having already disturbed the Concierge I did not think I could bother him again 14) We got all the towels from the bathroom and I put them on top of the wet bed and pillow hoping to sleep 15) It was a terrible terrible night 16) We cannot understand how such a thing could have happened 17) We can only think that the femme de chambre must have spilt her water by accident and that she had pulled up the duvet to cover the bed perhaps hoping it would dry before we came to bed 18) We don’t understand how such a thing could have happened - unless you have a ghost/phantome - !!! 19) But we do think that you should recompense us by refunding one night.

    1) Location was fantastic 2) Staff were lovely 3) One very strange inexplicable incident

One of the most charming features of the hotel – it being in an historic building – is also one of the downsides. There was an elevator available, but it could not be reached without taking at least a few stairs. This is not a hotel that would be workable for someone with significant physical disabilities.

The hotel location is excellent. It is within walking distance of so many attractions. It was charming to be in such an historic building. The staff was wonderful. They went above and beyond to explain the features and options of our stay.

Breakfast not included and very expensive! We hired a taxi to the airport which the hotel arranged and it was $50 Euros for an 8 minute ride. Luxembourg is expensive in general.

Location was wonderful. Loved the restaurant too. Our room was nice and big but we had to move from a cramped room that was dark. All rooms different. Not for people who have difficulty with stairs. Staff very nice. Love bed, bathroom, towels and extras.

The property has no USB chargers in rooms, so remember to bring a suitable European adaptor to charge tech. One or two of the rooms can be a little noisy due to late bar opposite and or events taking place at the art museum adjacent to the hotel. In all the rooms I have stayed in, there are no headboards on the beds and pillows fall into gap behind, which is frustrating.

Good location, friendly staff, clean and comfortable rooms with good facilities.

The bed. It was a bit soft and the pillows weren't great. Need to get firmer and more full pillows and the mattresses could do with replacement.

Really great location and its a beautifully presented hotel. The service was great and people were friendly. Bathroom products were great.
