Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

LuxembourgAccess to the Spa is quite expensive since they make you pay 60€/person per day. Items in the minibar also need to be paid for. And sometimes you hear corridor noise when in the room.
The rooms are very cosy and well equipped with kettle, coffee maker, small fridge, bathroom essentials etc which is convenient. We asked for an iron also. The Spa section very nice and well equipped, specially the red submerged underground cave which provided an exotic experience.

LuxembourgNothing. Everything was excellent.
A 4-star hotel actuallyl worthy of the name. Absolutely beautiful hotel and wonderful room. Very comfortable and with great service. Excellent spa. Very good restaurant. Nice outdoor pool area as well and cosy court yard area. I like that they did not charge extra for parking, and that everything (food, drinks, spa activities) we're put on the room and all paid together at checkout. It made for a more relaxed feeling. Excellent breakfast ( juicer for fruit/veg was a nice touch). Staff very friendly, polite and helpful. We fully enjoyed it and will definitely be back.

NetherlandsEspecially later in the evening it could take quite a while before a waiter would stop by to take your drinks order when sitting outside on the chateau's courtyard terrace, and also for your drinks to arrive after the order was taken. With the breakfast, while there was plenty of space to sit both inside and outside to enjoy your breakfast, the room where the breakfast buffet was laid out was quite small. So it could get quite busy in there in the mornings and a bit difficult to pass each other with the trays at times. Also, there were no rails or anything like that attached to the countertops to rest your tray on, so sometimes you had to juggle a bit balancing it on inconvenient surfaces while you were getting your breakfast items. Lastly, but this applies to almost all hotels in my experience, it would have been nice if the pool would have been bigger and deeper, and with more loungers around the pool.
The rooms looked amazing and were very clean. The shower is the best I've had in any hotel ever and I've been to plenty of hotels all over the world for both business and pleasure. Breakfast provided plenty of options to choose from and all were fresh and high quality. Ample space to sit outside, both in the sun as well as in the shade, also for breakfast and lunch. Also nice pool and sun terrace. From the outside the chateau also looked great. Very well maintained, with immaculate walls and roof, very photogenic. Even the copper ornaments on the tip of the towers looked like they'd just been polished. There is also plenty of free parking space behind the chateau. Overall we had an amazing stay with the family.

United StatesThe only thing I didn't like is that we only could stay three nights. I'd buy this place and retire there if it were possible.
This place has all of our friends asking where this place is located based on our pics there. It's just amazing, the spa is dreamy, the outside pool was nice on the sunny days. The evening campfire in the courtyard was comforting. The breakfast, simply amazing. The downstairs bar is something to be experienced our bartender was kind and friendly! The restaurant was very nice, and the food was delicious. The staff goes above and beyond on every level. I love WWII history and just knowing the history involved with this facility is worth a visit in and of itself. Knowing this made the stay even more enjoyable experiencing the care and attention this place gets, it's evident, everywhere where you look. Absolutely magical stay here. Can't wait to go back there some day!!

United KingdomIt’s a shame the spa wasn’t included in the price. We paid the extra to experience it however it was so busy we didn’t feel we got our moneys worth as we couldn’t utilise everything.. the breakfast room was small and chaotic.
Loved the castle, the pool and the selfie spots around the castle! Such a peaceful and beautiful location and everywhere was extremely clean with lovely staff. The pool grotto at the spa was incredible.

LuxembourgThe location is just a bit far from where we live but the drive was totally worth it.We wuld have liked to have a drink at the pool bat at 6pm but the bar was already closed.
We loved the comfortable bed, heated pool, decor and ambience. The reception are is very cosy and the receptionists very professional and caring. A very big thumbs up to the most professional and best bartender I've ever come across in the cave of the restaurant. The bar's decor, ambience and good service of the bartender really made a lasting impression
