How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

Noise from people walking in the corridor could be heard
The hostel was fine for a one-night stay. Due to an event taking place in Kaunas, the price was about double the usual rate, but overall everything was clean and well-kept.

The location is a bit far from the train station to go there walking (~1 hour).
Clean room, comfortable bed, everything looked quite new. Spacious shower. Small fridge in the room too. I recommend this place, it's a great option and the price is good too.

All was good: Nice staff, room super clean with kitchenette, very hot shower. I highly recommend this place. I was cold at night, I told the girl in the reception and she immediately went for a heater, so my room was in great temperature after that.

It would be nice to have a bit of tea/coffee in the room, as well as things like oil, salt and pepper for cooking.
The apartment is small but really convenient, because of the good planning it actually feels pretty spacious. The bathroom is quite large, as big as the main room, I appreciated that. The apartment has a set of kitchen utensils and a fridge, I'd definitely use it if I stayed for more than one day, taking into account a huge Lidl store in a 15-minute walk from the hotel. Surprisingly, I loved the location. There's a pine forest nearby, very nice to walk and connect with the nature. The hotel is far from the city centre, but the public transport in Kaunas is nice and reliable, it was very easy to get to the bus station by the trolleybus.

It seemed like this might be somewhere men are staying to work. There were a lot of men around the building and out the back, where the parking was, which was a bit intimidating as a solo female traveller. I had no issues and it was fine for one night to head to the airport but worth noting if you were considering for a longer stay.
The room had everything I needed and was clean and fine for one night stay before heading to the airport. The on site parking was available out the back and the staff member was helpful on arrival.

Noisy, it was right at a busy road, so I could hear cars driving by all the time. Small room

Noise from the road is quite bad, the matress is too soft (for my back). The single room is very compact, set of drawers is not a substitute for a small table

Room was clean but with a really strong toilet perfume smell all over the room. Room was cold and the AC/warmer did not work. A lot of street noises.
I liked that we were able to check in at night time. Parking available. Room was modern with a kitchenette.

It was difficult to find the entrance as the sign of the hostel was only inside, so taxi drove at the back of the building and then again front. Some signs would be very helpful, particularly in the dark times of the day/night. The room was very small. Single and very simple bed with one pillow and thin duvet cover. Having a blanket would make it more cosy, particularly when a bed is placed by the cold wall. Small light above the bed was very dim. The main problem of the room was the disturbing sounds, and there were three: - Traffic from the street, which I understand is impossible to control. However, maybe thicker curtains would make a difference? - The blinds of the window are bigger than the window, so the corners of the blinds, with every gust of wind, bang to the walls and make sounds. - There is a small fridge in the room that also time from time turns on and off and makes sounds. There was a kettle, but no coffee/tea sachets. Wouldn't cost much, yet it would be very appreciated. The colour of towels (dark grey), as well as no clean scent from them, wasn't very pleasant. The distance between the shower and shower curtain is too small, which results in a shower curtain tpuching your body while taking a shower, which is not nice or comfortable.
Calm place as it was not at all many people. The private bathroom was convenient, and the shower was working well. TV was working well. There were plenty of hangers for clothes. Nice and well litted mirror in the bathroom.
