How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

there is some mold in the showers, probably better ventilation could help
I am staying in El Nido for 8 years in a row - it is an amazing value for the price. The rooms are clean, location is superb, and I love that each year they think of additional improvements - eg. this year they made coffee/tea station next to the reception, more sitting places in the inner yard

Some facilities are shared (like kitchen ) ,there is no fridge in each unit. These are summer houses so walls between apartments are very thin and you could hear everything what your neighbours do, thankfully no loud guests when we stayed. Only have 3 car parking spaces which need to be reserved in advance , otherwise most affordable long term car park ( 6 €/ night ) is located about 20 min walk away .
Location is excellent , right in the town center overlooking water. Small garden at the back to chill, hostel provides free coffees, teas and snacks. Very basic accommodation , but clean .

Noise settles down around 0.00 in the night and starts again as early as 7.00 only so really hard to sleep then even with earbuds.
Central location, nice surroundings (lagon, pier) pleasant staff.

The hostel is perfectly situated directly on the Curonian Lagoon in the Center of Nida. You can drink the morning Coffee with water view in the garden. Freshly baked pastry is available in the supermarket 150m away. The kitchen is vastly equipped, the staff super friendly and everything has an atmosphere of being welcome. The rooms are simple, but clean. The bedding was fine and regarding the price it was extraordinary. I highly recommend it, as long as you are not very sensitive to noise (thin walls and well... being central)

One area that could use some improvement is the cleaning standard. While the room appeared tidy on the surface, certain areas—like under the bed—would benefit from a more thorough deep clean. A bit of extra attention to detail would significantly enhance the guest experience.
I stayed in one of the shared rooms with a private bathroom in Nida and really appreciated the peaceful, scenic location. The setting is quiet and ideal for relaxing, with easy access to the beach, bike paths, and the charming town center. The room was comfortable and nicely furnished, with the added convenience of a private bathroom—a definite plus for shared accommodations. Basic amenities were all there, and the overall setup is great for travelers looking for simplicity and comfort in a natural setting.

The walls are extremely thin, so you are constantly hearing people in other rooms. We were staying in a room overlooking the inner yard, so the noise from outside wasn’t too bad.
The location was great. It was very clean and cozy inside

the photo and the actual appearance of the room did not match, the hotel has old doors that you have to press to close them, the floor felt spongy and unstable. in short, I'm disappointed that I paid so much money for it

The room with the 2 beds is missing shelfs or things to hang towels.
The location It Is top and the hostal is in a typical building, very cozy. It is a happy place :)

Considering the price, there's not much to complain about as this is a budget stay. However, the bathroom floor didn't feel very clean. It's also difficult to keep it clean yourself as there is no barrier on the floor in the shower area. Therefore when you take a shower, all bathroom floor gets wet and sticky. Keep in mind that there is absolutely no sound isolation. You will hear every step of the upstairs neighbors and will be able to participate in their conversations. If the quiet time is not respected, you won't have much sleep (our neighbors got very loud at 5AM).
Central location, everything is very close to the hostel. Gorgeous views of the lagoon outside the window. Considering the location and that it's in Nida, the price is quite small. Comfortable beds.

The biggest downside for us was that the room and bathroom felt a bit cramped.
We loved the central location, with restaurants and museums just a short walk away. The seaside view from our balcony was also fantastic. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, which truly elevated our experience.

We had some problems with the shower. The staff was very helpful and came to fix it immediately though.

Nearby bars have DJ's so even with earplugs bass doesnt let you sleep on Saturdays. In the morning garbage trucks noise and employees of nearby facilities chat near the window. No AC so you cant close the window for quietness.
Decent price, great location, kitchen with accessories, flexible check in.

Didn’t realize it’s a hostel till we got there. It’s good as a hostel, but it wasn’t really comfortable to stay with the baby. Shower is super small and you spalsh water everywhere
