We think the place could use a bit of a make up. It didn’t look as new as on the pictures (e.g. rooftop). Also I would definitely recommend to book sea view as we had “partially seaview” which was had more a view towards the next hotel then to the sea.

The hospitality of the staff was sensational. Everyone was super friendly. Also the view to the beachfront was stunning and the beach very clean and quiet.

A little attention will make the place better and tidier. It just needs effort to change the bedroom furniture and paint the bathroom, and the place will become a paradise

Sea View room was amazing, spacious room, balcony, spa. Food in restaurant was delicious, I tried many types of sea food. Staff is very helpful and ready to make your stay enjoyable. I liked the pool with “stars” on the bottom and spend many hours swimming and enjoying. Limited number of room(7 in total I think) made my journey to feel private

Nice and quiet resort facing the sea with private pool. Rooms were spacious and clean. They help organize tours to the lagoon (a five minutes tuktuk ride) and transportation if needed. We even got a late checkout on the house!

Turtle bay is a cute little hotel in a beautiful and secluded beach. Rooms are big and comfy. Has a big pool facing the ocean. Staffs are excellent. Special mention to Raji and Sarath. They took care of us well.

A very welcoming hotel, beautiful location by the beach, stunning views. Two pools to relax in with plenty of sunloungers. The rooms are beautifully decorated large rooms authentic Srilankan design with good aircon. The food from breakfast, lunch and dinner was very delicious and plenty of food. The staff were very friendly and attentive. I will definitely be back here with the family.

The bathroom could do with a touch up but all in all a great stay.

Fabulous room that was large, comfortable and clean looking out onto the lovely pool area and the ocean behind. Great food, the Sri Lankan breakfast especially was delicious. Staff were all friendly and helpful, remembered I have a gluten allergy and cooked things separately, really recommend.

We liked everything! -rooms. There are only like 7 of them and all of them face the ocean - can you imagine?! The view is incredible! And you hear the ocean sound all the time (you’ll get used to it!) -you will be having daily walks to the ocean beach which is very beautiful and clean (but with heavy waves) -but most of the starts go to amazing people who work here. Very friendly and helpful! Always smiling -I liked the fact that this hotel is a bit isolated and you literally get to it what they got from the fishermen. But everything we tried (shrimps, tuna) was sooooo delicious. They also have fresh fruits all the time. And don’t forget to try Sri Lankan traditional breakfast🩷 I would say it’s the best place I’ve stayed so far. I definitely wanna go back. You will be very happy here. Cause all the people around are happy to be there too.

A great find in quiet corner of Southern Sri Lanka away from the crowds. A beautiful palm lined pool on a quiet wild stretch of beach. What makes the resort so special is the hospitality of the excellent team who can’t do enough to make your stay memorable. The small boutique concept works really well with excellent quality food and drinks and good value for money. We will definitely be back.

We enjoyed our stay, but a few things could be improved: Dinner starts at 7 PM, but the restaurant lights were left off, making it near impossible to see our meal. This seemed to be an attempt to prevent flying insects, but it affected the dining experience. We booked Number 7 Deluxe Double Room with a Side Sea View for three adults. However, the “sea view” was mostly obstructed by large exterior walls, with only a small glimpse of the pool next door and a little bit of the sea. The single bed was more like a cot bed, and our adult daughter’s feet hung over the end. Despite these points, we enjoyed the overall experience.

Overall the grounds are beautiful! It is very apparent the staff take pride in maintaining this! Along with lovely smiles! The pool has a beautiful view and well maintained, seating is spotted around to relax and eat, beautiful quiet beach to walk along, spa massages relaxing! Restaurant serves range of foods for breakfast, lunch/substantial snack foods , cocktails/ beer, dinner from 7pm. We have spent 2 weeks intrepid travelling and this was our chill time for 2 nights. Thoroughly enjoyed thanks to the very welcoming, happy staff! Definitely stay again but in a room with a view.

Basically everything! Location, staff, food, room - all excellent. As with most places the staff either make or break a stay and at the Turtle Bay they certainly made it. Raji and Adi in the restaurant backed up by the talented Fernando in the kitchen really enhanced our stay - Sarat the manager has a great team. Thank you everyone!

We have just spent a week at this fantastic small hotel. What made it so special? Firstly the location is absolutely stunning, a palm fringed, empty beach, white topped waves and the sun shining in the blue sky. If you want quiet serenity, then this is the place for you. It is a place for rest and relaxation, reading, swimming and eating delicious food. Fresh seafood and fish are bought from the harbour each day and there are Sri Lankan and some western meals on the menu too. Breakfast is a buffet and I recommend asking the young chef to make you a fresh hopper which you can fill from a selection of Sri Lankan dishes. Best of all were the staff. They looked after us so well and really went out of their way to make our stay perfect.

What a beautiful hotel! The staff is amazing and each one of them is so kind and sweet. The whole hotel is a very beautiful place with nice details and soms colorful art. Very dreamy. We really didn’t want to leave this place! The beach is beautiful and quiet. The room is also beautiful. Falling asleep with the sounds of the sea cradling you. We could see the sunset from our balcony. Great shower. The food is very good. We had diner right next to the pool with lights in it, what makes it a very romantic experience. My husband asked for some flowers on the bed because it was our anniversary and they gave us very nice flowers and a beautiful room. We had an amazing stay. Especially because of the lovely staff. Highly recommended!!!!

Bathroom needs an update.

We had a fantastic stay in Turtle Bay. The staff is really friendly and they do everything to make you feel comfortable. I had an issue on my room the first night and they solved it right away, every day they checked if it was still okay. The food is good, breakfast too, the surroundings are amazing. We loved the endless beach and the rough sea. Hope to come back some day!

Wifi doesn’t work properly which makes it difficult to communicate

Location is just attached to the pristine beach. Staff is very friendly and give attention to details. Chef is also very kind and is accommodating of personal preferences and requests. Very warm people and overall comfortable stay. Would definitely recommend

The kids had a blast at the pool and beach. The staff were super friendly, and the buffet was a great deal. The rooms were clean, and the beds were comfy. It’s in a perfect spot, away from the crowded beaches.
