The SkyDeck has a wonderful location overlooking Kandy with the best view. Although steep, we managed to walk up from the city centre on two occasions. Our host was very hospitable, making suggestions and booking tuk tuks for us. We only had breakfast once due to an early train, but it was delicious. .

It’s located up in the mountain, roads are tricky and not in good condition. Sometimes tricky to get a tuk tuk and a bit far from everything.

It was super clean, the facility was in perfect conditions, no bugs or anything weird. Away from the busy city and you get an amazing view. Felt super comfortable and safe (they property had a gate) as a women traveling alone. The host is very nice and helpful.

Some dogs at the neighbour but they did not bark during the night, was not a problem even if I’m sensitive to noise for sleeping.

We had a very good stay and good night at their place. Also, they could arrange the taxi for next day and it was very good.

Had a wonderful 3 nights here. It’s only a short tuktuk ride out of the city, but feels like a world away from the hustle and bustle. Amazing views overlooking Kandy - particularly on the verandah where we enjoyed delicious breakfasts. Clean, comfortable, modern rooms with all the amenities you need. Plus, the host was very welcoming and responsive.

Everything was perfect

The view from the hotel was the highlight. The host was really nice and made sure our stay was comfortable. The location was very quiet and good for a walk.Bit away from the city but uber and pickme available at any time. It is ok to travel few minutes to get a wonderful view :). I would definitely stay here if I ever visit Kandy again.

The host was really lovely and helpful, easy to communicate with. The room was clean, smelled nice and fresh. Balcony had a great view of the town. Breakfast with a view was really great as well. I totally recommend this place!

Not a problem for us but for information it is quite far out of town up a steep hill (not really walkable).

Amazing views, huge balcony, comfortable room. Location is at the top of a hill away from the city which provides this incredible view however it will require a TukTuk to access. Owner was great, offered helpful advice about nearby restaurants and train information. Good wifi. Free clean water. Laundry amenities available.

The view from balcony is awesome. Room space is small but quite good and well maintained. Would be nice to have water pressure in bathroom and some additional toiletries. Overall a good option and Recommend.

The property is located in an upscale and quiet neighbourhood and view from the property is amazing. The host is very warm and welcoming, he helped us with local leads for eating out, visiting places, arranging tuk tuk etc. very nice stay, clean and comfortable sheets, definitely recommend staying here to be away from hustle bustle of the city of Kandy.

Our stay at SkyDeck Kandy was excellent. The SkyDeck is a short tuk tuk drive from the centre, which is ideal if you want to enjoy the hustle and bustle of Kandy but still have peace and quiet after a long day exploring. Our room was clean, big and very comfortable. It also offered great views of Kandy from the panoramkc balcony. The owner is kind, attentive, and friendly. He was very helpful throughout our stay and made us delicious breakfasts (probably the best we had in Srilanka!). We would certainly stay at SkyDeck again if we returned to Kandy and would recommend it to anyone who plans to visit the city.

It's a bit of a walk into the centre of town but very doable. Definitely need to catch a tuk tuk back as there is a very steep section when returning.

Wonderful place to stay in a great city. The view from the balcony was marvellous day and night. Breakfast was simple Sri Lankan food but very tasty. Asith was a very helpful host. We really liked Kandy, a very vibrant busy city. We stayed 3 nights and this place is the place to stay to explore the city.

- Location was a little far out of town so we had to take a tuktuk each time, but this was more of a minor inconvenience rather than something we dislike. Do note that the homestay is in a residential area with no shops or eateries around - Water pressure was low and the hot water was not that hot too - The shower area is demarcated by a shallow floor depression but the water and soap suds would still overflow to the rest of the toilet area when we showered, and because of the tiles used, the floor was slippery when wet.

- The city view from the room - Room was of a good size for two of us and the shower was very spacious - Bed and pillows were comfortable - No mosquitoes in the room - We could top up our water from the water dispenser outside - Quiet & peaceful location - The host has a beautiful cat named Shadow

We loved everything. From Kandy center it’s not easy to walk there (too far with a backpack) but there are many tuktuk taxis available so it’s easy to get there.

We had a very comfortable room with a great view because the location is higher up the road, not in the center. The breakfast was very nice. And the bathroom beautiful and clean. Very nice owner. We can definitely recommend it.

A fridge in the room, there was a communal one downstairs so not too bad.

Excellent views over Kandy from our balcony, Asitha the owner and Indika his brother were exceptional and made us feel very welcome. Highly recommend if you want a quiet location with great views and only a short ride into town, or an energetic walk.
