The photos don't show the poor quality finishes and numerous imperfections. Be careful in and around the pool and in other areas as there are lots of sharp edges, unexpected steps and level differences that are a trip hazard. The shower didn't drain and we couldn't lock our balcony door. The restaurant offers limited food options for a high price (VAT not included in the menu prices!) Nevertheless, the staff did an amazing job and we paid a reasonable price for our stay.

Beautiful tropical looking pool area and very attentive and helpful staff making us feel special. Decent breakfast with lots of options. Right next to the Cave Temples, within walking distance or 5 minute tuk tuk ride. Safari can also be easily arranged with pick up and drop off from the hotel. There was DJ music in the evening around the pool and after 10pm it got quiet. There seems to be construction going on nearby but we didn't hear any noises and it didn't affect our stay.

There was a bit of a smell around the breakfast area. Maybe something was off with the plumming ? Nothing major anyway.

The resort gives you a feeling of beeing in the middle of the jungle , with huge trees all around the pool area. Sometimes even a monkey family visits ! We also enjoyed the fact , that there was always lowkey music around the bar & pool , so it was a nice place to spend a few hours. I would highly recommand it !! Tour to minneriya was also great !

Be careful, the hotel is named « Sigiryia » but it’s actually in Dambulla.

Great stay in Dambulla – perfect location and lovely staff! We had a fantastic stay at this hotel in Dambulla. It’s just a short walk to the famous Dambulla Cave Temple, which was super convenient. There were tuk-tuks right outside the hotel that took us easily to Sigiriya. The staff were incredibly kind and helpful – they even offered to drive us to the train station after our stay. The hotel also provides currency exchange and cash withdrawal services, which made things really easy for us. Our room was excellent: spacious, very clean, with a super comfortable bed and hot water in the shower. And the breakfast was absolutely delicious! Highly recommend if you’re staying in Dambulla!

I got super hot in my room and would have loved some aircon. There was some brown stains on my bed sheets.

On going construction are currently taken place (off-season) but it was not a major issue for us we could still use the pool and the outside area. The city has to be reached by tuktuk eg for dinner (we preferred to eat outside as the hotel kitchen has to be improved by quality during off-season)

The resort is really nice and we enjoyed our stay.The room was perfect, beds are super comfy, clean room, big size and the outside area let you relax. Siddu helped us to enjoy our stay, really recommend to stay here.

Stayed here one night on low season. Perfect location to visit the cave temple. Just a walk away. Furniture has usage marks but adds to the charme of the place. The whole place has good charm, like Kitu who helps with things like luggage. He is an old sailor who sailed the world. The pool aera is a nice place with trees and a bar for lunch and a drink. I advice taking the breakfast if you have the budget fot it.

The place is amazing, the bar next to the swimming pool adds up the relaxation aspect, everything needed was in the room including a small fridge, the staff is friendly (We didn’t try the food there so we cannot comment)

A gorgeous hotel right next to Dambulla cave temple. Beautiful poolside setting which we enjoyed for morning coffee, afternoon chill after exploring and evening drinks. Wonderful and friendly staff who are always happy to help. A special thanks to D and the hotel dog Bruno, both of which we enjoyed the company of ☺️
