The only negative - the lighting in the room was a little too dark for our liking

This is a family run business, who have built the huts and cottages themselves over the last 9 years. They were very helpful in terms of tips and recommendations for our planned activities. The owner was very helpful in transporting us from the accommodation to Kandy for a very reasonable price. Rooms were comfortable and clean.

The bathroom could do with a little bit of upgrading.

This is a charming place, close to the main road yet very quiet. Breakfast room is very nice - you can see harmless wildlife in the nearby forest area while you enjoy your breakfast.

We really enjoyed our stay here. My wife and I spent 3 night at the Sungreen Cottage and everything was perfect. Pramoth helped us with organising our visit to Pollonaruwa as well the tuk tuk drive to the lion rock, pidurangala rock and Dambulla temple. The location of this stay is perfect if you want to visit these places. The breakfast was always delicious, and we also had once lunch with was very tasting. Nearby you have few good restaurants as well. We can only recommend this place.

Loved the tree house, nice view and great ambience! Nice breakfast coffee and lunch too at the coffee mania by the lake. Great host, helps with planning day trips and driving in tuktuk or car. Highly recommend!

The shower was okay but not amazing and in the corners the apartment could be a bit cleaner.

The location of the cottage was amazing in the nature without hearing the loud road. The breakfast was also super nice and delicious. Our host was very friendly and gave us some nice recommendations and helpful tips.

Very nice staff, very good breakfast. Cute cottage, clean and nice interior. You can chill at the balcony and have a nice view of the nature. You can see and hear lots of animals, especially chipmunks. Very cute.

The place is beautiful, very peaceful with nice views over the lake. Pramoth and his family welcomed us very kindly and arranged everything for our stay. The bungalows are also just 10-15 minutes away from the main attractions which makes it very convenient.

Unfortunately it is getting really hot in the room during the day even though the AC is running.

Excellent location. Very quiet but close to the main area of Sigiriya. Breakfast was great - Sri Lankan style and all the dishes were explained to us. We ate dinner here and it was freshly made and very tasty.

Word of advice : the property is surrounded by nature. So some insects, lizards and all are there present. We couldn't care less, we understand all theese and we had an excelent trip. But if you are afraid of this (harmless) creatures you might miss a great experience. But is good for you to know in advance 😜

It is a great property with a very friendly and heplfull owner. It is in the middle of a jungle like garden, we were visited by monkeys, mangoose, several birds including one gorgeous peacock. Room was very good, nice clean bathroom. The owner organised all our logistcs (on extra cost) and we were very happy with him.

Fantastic cottage surrounded by nature, the bed was comfortable, the bathroom large enough and the hosts very kind! We enjoyed our time on the balcony looking at the birds with a lizard as friend!

The hotel is made up of a few detached rooms well separated from each other. It's located down a small road away from the main road so is quiet and secluded. There is a lake at the end of the garden with a large amount of bird life. The owner is very friendly and helpful. Breakfast and dinner are available in the restaurant close to the lake. I'd highly recommend this for a stay in Sigiriya

Absolutely loved my stay in the treehouse at Sungreen. Quiet and serene, it was exactly the break I needed. Delicious daily breakfast homemade on site, and really lovely family who own and run the property. Super helpful as well in helping arrange Tuktuk’s to town, and even drove me to my next hotel in Kandy! Note the location is a little outside of sigiriya main town, but it’s an easy 2-4min Tuktuk ride in, or a 35 min walk (if you can handle the heat!). Lots of supermarkets and excellent restaurants nearby as well.

The accommodation is close to the lake and is super pretty and in the green but only few meters away from the road and close to small convenient stores and some restaurants. The rooms are spacious and clean, there are mosquito nets over the beds and the AC and showers work great. The hosts are friendly and can contact tuktuk drivers for you. The breakfast was super nice and you decide when you want to eat. We were also able to do laundry and overall we had a great time.
