It is a bit far away from the center but you can always get a bus

This is the perfect place to stay in Kandy. It is cheap, and has everything you need. The room is nice and clean and there’s plenty of hot water in the shower. Shampoo, body wash and even an adapter are provided. There is a shared kitchen as well as a washing machine to use for free. The host is incredibly helpful with anything from giving recommendations on where to eat to helping with the bus

Not a huge negative but it is a distance outside the main part of Kandy, about a 10-15 minute tuk tuk ride depending on traffic.

The rooms were very large and clean. The host was excellent and it was a great value for money. Showers had hot water and soap and shampoo were provided. We stayed here twice in one week, before and after hiking the Pekoe Trail and were able to also leave our large suitcase while we were away. Near to the hostel is a super market and many restaurants I would highly recommend this hostel for any travelers looking for high quality, budget friendly accommodation.

The manger forces people for photographs for their own business interests to post on social medi a platforms that not correct. You must seek individuals consent for a photograph. Why should he click pictures unnecessarily.

Location is good in a peaceful surrounding and not far from main town. Local transport to go anywhere is close by at 100 metres.

A bit far from the downtown area, but there is a bus stop at the foot of the road for a cheap ride into town and tuktuks are always available.

Friendly and helpful staff. Clean and comfortable room with an excellent shower. Room equipped with a comfortable bed with AC, ceiling fan and plenty of storage. Two fully equipped shared kitchens and ample comfortable seating in the lounges. Free use of the washing machine and a covered area for line-drying is a great bonus. Conveniently located near two grocery stores and many small restaurants.

    Everything was good, no complaints!

Great guesthouse. Clean, no frills but comfortable and airy rooms that look out on green hills, with good beds and private bathrooms with shower. Pleasant common spaces with hot water kettle and fridge. Clothes dried in a couple of hours on the clothes lines on the top floor. Wonderful staff–Kumara waited up for me when I arrived late, helped with advice and logistics–just a super nice person. The guesthouse is above the Primrose Dental Clinic and you may hear their doorbell in the morning, but not too early and it's a useful landmark if you're getting picked up. The location is a bit too far to walk to central Kandy, although the bus and tuktuks are easily available and the neighborhood itself is a good place to be–a supermarket is just down the street, which has a food court below it with a bakery, juice counter and buffet, and an ATM across the lane. It's not a fancy hotel, but I wouldn't really think of it as a youth hostel either–it's a good value, well cared for guesthouse so if that's what you're looking for, I highly recommend it.

I'm very happy I've stayed at this place, I found it really welcoming and cozy, like a house instead of a hostel. My room was clean and comfy, I had my private bathroom and shower. In the common room there's also a common kitchen. Kumara was very helpful and patient, he showed me many places worth the visit and how to get there. He is an amazing artist, you must check out his works. Thank you again, I'll be back and I defenetely raccomend it!

Wifi was a bit slow at times. The location is not really walkable into the centre, but there is a bus, which is great once you've figured out where to get on and off.

Nice size room with good views, access to a kitchen, free use of washing machine though i didn't need it. Mr Kumara is very kind and helpful and there is lots of information around the hostel to aid travellers.

The location isn't central (but a Tuktuk with the app is just 200 rupees to the city center) There was a bit of mold in the bathroom and the mosque next door can wake you up before dawn. No water filter on site so be sure to bring water with you

Best value for money in Kandy for a private room. Clean spacious and comfortable with A/C and fan, good shower (they provide body wash and shampoo too). Great hospitality. Met some cool fellow travelers here. Free self-use laundry and kitchen facilities.

Everything is perfect: clean, comfortable, and well-maintained. The staff are incredibly welcoming and kind. The common area is great, ideal for cooking and for meeting and chatting with other guests. Without a doubt, the best place I’ve stayed in Sri Lanka so far, and I genuinely mean it. I’ve been to other places with similar reviews, but they turned out to be just average. This one truly lives up to the praise.

I recently stayed in your hotel and had an absolutely wonderful experience! From the moment I checked in, I was greeted with warm smiles and exceptional service. The rooms were clean, comfortable, and well - equipped, making my stay incredibly relaxing. Kumara's enthusiasm and friendliness were truly contagious. He went above and beyond his duties, not only ensuring that all my needs were met but also taking the time to share numerous fascinating stories with me. These stories gave me a unique insight into the local culture and made my stay here much more memorable. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a top - notch accommodation experience, especially if you want to be greeted by staff who truly care about making your stay unforgettable. I will definitely be back on my next visit!

Equivalent of a 3-star hotel, Smile Hub offers a spacious room with a comfortable queen-size bed, a closet, a wide desk, and all the necessities. There are two kitchen areas with several spots on each level of the property for relaxation and interaction. Pleasantly surprised to find yoga mats and hairdryers for use! It's located along the quieter Primrose Road, where the main Peradeniya Road abound with shops and restaurants is just a minute away.

It’s near the botanical garden’s which is handy and not too far from the city in a tuk tuk. The staff are helpful, the kitchen has everything you need and there’s nice areas to chill with books and games available. The room was clean, it had a nice shower and good AC. The bed was comfortable. We used the washing machine and dried our clothes on the loft!

Lovely stay at Yama’s place, felt right at home as soon as we arrived. The room was clean and comfortable with a nice hot shower. There’s also a washing machine which is available for free, with a spot to dry your clothes, which was a big bonus for us. The location is a little out of town but not far with a tuktuk. We had a game of Catan one night with the hostel too 😊 Would recommend staying here for a very reasonable price.

Everything! First of all the people working in this hostel are very sweet helpful and answered all of my numerous questions about travelling around Kandy. The hostel is extremely clean, there are 2 big common areas, a laundry place (for free by the way), 2 kitchens, books and a notebook with many tips for Sri lanka written by travellers (restaurants, homestays, what to visit etc) which I find so useful and so cool! Rooms are big and bright, there is hot shower and AC, a desk with a drawer that you can lock. People are very respectful and quiet here. It is a good 35 min walk to the clock tower but you can take the bus if you prefer. I highly recommend this place, it is easy to meet people and you get so many travelling tips!
