Lovely family onsite, excellent value room with everything we wanted. Friendly owner, happily customised our breakfasts for our dietary preferences :-). And for a reasonable fee, cooked us a wonderful dinner onsite too: much appreciated! Would happily recommend 👌

Everything was perfect

Everything! The host was amazing, the location is 30 mins away from Lion Rock, the breakfast was super good. We really enjoyed the garden, there were so many plants and little birds! We went to safari, recommended by the host.

Nothing really! Maybe just the road infront of of the house has many barking dogs so it was a little bit scary to walk around

Although we booked a room with fan (no AC), we got a room with AC and paid extra for that on the spot. It wouldn't be possible to stay in a room without AC. The owners are friendly.

The family is quite loud, playing the TV early in the morning and late in the evening with full voice which you can hear in the room. The location is a bit out of way, but easily accessible by tuk tuk.

Mahesh is a friendly, helpful and humble person. All services were beyond our expectation. Calm and quiet place to have your stay around Sigiriya. 10mns drive to Sigiriya rock, so it was much easier. Highly recommended. !!!

Felt so welcomed by the owner and his family. Welcome drink on arrival. Breakfast every morning was amazing with great fresh fruit and coffee. He helped us plan what we wanted to do during our time in sigiriya, organising all the Tuktuks and bike hire, and helped us get the bus to our next destination. His English was amazing and it was so nice chatting with him. Located on a nice quiet road with plenty of restaurants and shops 10 minute walk away. Felt us and our belongings were safe and secure as well.

It was our first stop in Sri Lanka and we didn't know what was a fair price and what wasn't, we feel that the host played us in different occasions. Moreover, we got scammed BIG TIME on our last day as he took us to a Herbal Garden where there was a man who assured he was a doctor, manexpained himself for 30 minutes and pushed us into buying some shit that burned our faces.

The family is really welcoming and make you feel like home. Speaking with the family after the day and getting to know them was amazing. The breakfast is abundant and really nice.

Amazing place. Very quiet, very clean and super comfortable really. They received me very well, helped me with indications of things to do around and cooked good food for me. Felt really good, value for money is exceptional.

We really enjoyed our stay in the guest house! The Host is extremely friendly and helpful: he quickly organized for us safari, tuk-tuk to Lion Rock (about 5-10 minutes ride), tasty homemade dinner and transfer to Trinkomale. Also we had a small tour across his garden. Breakfast was very tasty and all the atmoshere was like you came to your good friend. When we visit Sri Lanka again we will choose this guest house again!

It is not a problem but a kindly reminder for travellers: there are 2 rooms and in 1 there is AC (for extra payment), but in another one there is only a fan. However, it was ok for us.

A very nice place to stay when going to Sigiriya. The owners are very nice people and made sure we were comfortable at all times. They also helped arrange some activities and our transfer to Trincomalee.

The photos in booking only show one of the bedrooms, but we stayed in a different one that was not what we had reserved. It was a bit less spacious and with less windows. But overall it was a nice room as well. I would suggest adding the photos of the other room in booking

The host was so attentive and a lovely spacious room. The breakfast was amazing with tea and coffee! He helped us arrange a tuktuk to take us into dambulla and wait with our bags whilst we went to the temple. This homestay is amazing for the price, can’t recommend more. A 5 minute tuktuk into Sigiriya!

Although a bit off the beaten track (10 mins walk from the main road), we had an excellent 3 night stay here. Wonderful breakfast, great bedroom and helpful owner.

We had an absolutely wonderful stay at this accommodation! The host was incredibly welcoming and helpful, going above and beyond to ensure we had everything we needed. The location is simply stunning, nestled in beautiful natural surroundings, yet conveniently close to restaurants and sightseeing spots. Our room was lovely, with comfortable beds and a fantastic shower. We also thoroughly enjoyed the delicious breakfast each morning. We truly felt at home and would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a relaxing and memorable getaway in Sigiriya.

One of the top 3 best accommodations we've had during the last 2.5 months of traveling in Asia. A spacious room, furnished in a way that offers plenty of space to store your belongings. Very large, comfortable bed with a mosquito net. Delicious, very generous breakfasts. Every day something different. :) And the owners are incredibly friendly. They helped us with organizing many things. The place is located in a beautiful area, with constant sounds of nature guaranteed. A wonderful experience and a very family-like atmosphere.

I had an amazing stay at Homestay Siesta! The room was super comfortable and spotless, making it the perfect place to relax after exploring Sigiriya. The owner was incredibly kind and went above and beyond to help us, organizing everything we needed to make the most of our visit. Thanks to him, we got to see and experience so much! On top of that, the breakfast was absolutely delicious—fresh, homemade, and a perfect start to the day. I highly recommend this place to anyone visiting Sigiriya. Thank you for such a wonderful stay!

Some of the kindest people I've ever stayed with. The breakfast was lovely and they went above and beyond to help with anything. The room was spotless and very comfortable. Location was great. Would highly recommend!
