We had a wonderful experience at this guesthouse. The owner was incredibly kind and attentive — he gave us lots of helpful information and great recommendations about the best places to visit in the area. The room was lovely, very comfortable, and equipped with everything we needed. The highlight was definitely the stunning view of Lion Rock from our balcony — absolutely breathtaking. Highly recommended for anyone visiting Sigiriya!

Amazing view and amazing host! The room are pretty big, especially the bed.

The water from the shower is only medium temperature, you can’t turn it on “hot”. But in the summer is very hot, so not a big problem

The room is cozy. The bed is huge and soo comfy. The owner was nice and welcoming. We arrived late in the evening and they could cook food for our dinner as we were tired from our trip to venture out and look for restaurants. Good value for money.

Not that I don’t like, the toilet and bathroom is located underneath your bedroom with steep stairs, so maybe a challenge for those with mobility issues. I was just careful going down and my husband kept telling me to be careful going down in the night, which I did, so it went fine afterall. Strict with check out at 11 AM other than that everything is ok.

We felt like home but we were in a magic setting. Very clean, tastefully decorated. We stayed 4 nights and we were well taken care of.

The first impression when we entered our bedroom was: wow! Everything looks so clean and neat! ✨️ but the real highlight of this place is Mr. Suman himself. Such a lovely host! He was always willing to help in every single way, we definitely felt very spoiled by all the attentions. For the rest dinner was very delicious (typical Sri Lankan dinner) and the location is perfect for morning or afternoon hikes, and spectacular views from your cabin. Just 15 minutes walking and you're already at Lion's Rock. 100% recommended!

Beginning of our vacation in Sri Lanka, landed in Colombo at 3 a.m, Sir from the hostel arranged taxi to the hostel. Etihad failed to travel our luggage so bad start. The family from SAAT managed to let us forget all of this. Super friendly. Megaclean. Insane food. Only 25min walk to Lion Rock. Owner of the hostel even managed to send our luggage after 4 days. One of the best stays in Sri Lanka.

The cabanas are situated in a lovely, peaceful spot with a beautiful view. The family is very helpful and friendly, and they help us organize activities and travel plans. They cooked us delicious and varied meals. We would highly recommend this accommodation to anyone staying in Sigiriya.

Please note that you cannot leave the area without transportation after dark due to the presence of wild elephants. We didn't find this a problem, as the owner is happy to help arrange transportation.

Super clean and comfortable cabana! Very big bed, nice terrace and great view on the Lion Rock! The owner is super friendly and helpfull, breakfast and dinner were tasty and the location is close to the entrance of the Lion Rock. Would 100% recommend when you stay in Sigiriya!

We had an amazing stay at Sigiri Saar Cabana and spent two unforgettable nights here. Suman gave us a warm welcome with refreshing drinks. He is such a wonderful host—always smiling, incredibly helpful, and full of great information about the area. Each morning, we were treated to a different breakfast, and every meal was absolutely delicious. You could really taste the love and care that went into preparing it ❤️ The cabana was spotless, and the shower had wonderfully hot water. One thing to keep in mind: the bathroom and toilet are located on the ground floor of your cabana and are accessed via a fairly steep set of stairs inside. It wasn’t a problem for us at all, but it might be something to consider for elderly guests. To top it all off, just 100 meters from the entrance, we were lucky enough to spot a wild elephant 🐘♥️ And when you wake up in the morning, you can see the Pidurangala Rock and Lion Rock right from your room. Truly a magical experience!

This is one of the best places to stay in Sigiriya. The location is amazing and very close to all the tourist attractions. Suman, the owner, is very nice. Helped me for the whole trip with transport and my wellbeing. The food was really good. The room was clean and spacious with good AC and WIFI.

The most beautiful and cozy cabanas with amazing view over Sigiryia- and Pidurangala Rock. Suman is the most kind and helpfull host. He helped us with all our activities and transports. He also cooked some amazing breakfast and dinner. Can’t recommend this place enough - it was truly amazing

We had an amazing time at the SAAT Cabana. Suman and his family are so generous with their time and they went above and beyond to make our stay extra enjoyable. Suman cooked us breakfast each morning, which consists of a blend of Sri Lankan cultural dishes, fruit, toast and coffee. There are only two Cabanas on the property so we felt like we were getting Royal treatment. Location is perfect for walking to Sigiriya Lion Rock or Pidurangala. The views from the porch of the room is breathtaking, especially in the morning. Tuk tuks are easy to organise to take you there for sunrise (you can't walk at night due to wild Elephants in the area - so cool). Overall we loved it. Such a peaceful place with epic scenery.

Absolutely nothing

I really loved my stay here, Suman who owns the place, was really kind and considerate and takes so much pride in his business. He offered support the whole time of my stay, dropping me to and from places, arranging tuktuks and activities and giving consideration to the fact that I was a solo female traveller. Great location in-between the two rocks and gorgeous views of them both from the room.

I’m in love with this place, it has everything you need, it is super beautiful, spacious, calm, the best view to the rocks, how kind the owner is, always arranging everything for you, and super close by the lion rock entrance. I’m more than grateful 🙏🏼 Honestly, It has been one of the best places I have stayed in the last 10 years travelling the world 🙏🏼✨

This place in Sigiriya is truly amazing. The conditions are of a very high standard. The host is super friendly and helpful. The view from the balcony is incredible – you can see the nature and feel the peaceful atmosphere. It is a special and unforgettable place. I really recommend it!
