Everything was perfect

We had an amazing stay at the Sigiri Jungle Villa in Sigiriya. The host, Janaka, was the most welcoming person ever. He made us feel at home and was willing to help us with everything. He speaks English very well and is always open to have a fun conversation or give you a recommendation. We had two amazing meals and three delicious breakfasts cooked by him or his family members. The location is close to the center while still having a quiet and relaxed atmosphere. The garden reminded us of the jungle and we saw all kinds of animals while eating on the terrace. Rooms are very clean, comfortable, and big. And the shower is the best shower we had here in Sri Lanka. I can’t recommend this place enough. If you visit Sri Lanka, come here and enjoy the hospitality of Janaka and his family.

We truly and strongly recommend this stunning and beautiful place. It is situated a bit out of the Main Street, surrounded by nature and the sounds of birds. You could relax and rest in a big and very clean room. The hosts are incredibly kind, friendly with always a smile in their face. The breakfast is very rich (and continental). You could also eat lunch or dinner there and we suggest to eat here because the food is really delicious and cooked only for you.

The place was fully covered with trees. Room was spacious and clean. Washroom was big and clean. Janak, the owner was very sweet and helpful. Breakfast was wholesome and tasty. I strongly recommend to book this place. Worth money. Perfect stay at Sigiriya.

This was the perfect start to our Sri Lankan holiday. The owner and his family were so helpful. He helped us to organise transport and had suggestions for the best trips. The villa is in a very tranquil location but also close to the Lions Rock entrance and a walk or tuk tuk ride to restaurants. The rooms were clean and very comfortable. The breakfasts were delicious Sri Lankan food served outside near the rooms. It was a lovely spot to sit and relax in between activities. We loved our time here. Thank you.

It’s a family owned place and it is so beautiful! Away from the busy road, however walking distance to the main road in order to go to the center. ( at night advisable to get lanterns) The owners are very kind and available to help you with everything you need; breakfast was amazing! We wished we could have stayed more so to enjoy the garden and the facilities.

Absolutely nothing

The place was amazing. We were greeted by an authentic sri lankan family, very welcoming and eager to help. They helped us with everything from recommendations to massages, cooking us food (it was amazing, traditional, great and very tasty) and even driving us around. The acomodation is beautiful and quiet, situated at the edge of the jungle. Very close to lions rock. The rooms were clean, spotless and an excellent value for money. Would highly reccommend!

The room had a strong smell, probably coming from the detergent of the bedsheets.

This was a really nice place. In 4 weeks of Sri Lanka it was one of the cleanest rooms and bathrooms we have seen. The owner is friendly and made us a delicious breakfast. We would for sure recommend this accomodation.

Minor thing: we also noticed the room was a little smelly, but we think it’s because of the cleaning (chemicals used) so we made sure we opened doors and windows - and the smell disappeared.

Superb, nothing less. The service was excellent: e.g. the the breakfast was great, they arranged a driver (at a competitive price) for a trip, and they just had an eye for the small details that would make our stay worthwhile. Good shower and a comfortable bed. Sigiriya Rock is at walking distance.

An incredible place literally in the middle of the jungle. We were charmed by the place, which was surrounded by greenery and tranquility. The rooms were very clean and well maintained. The hosts were extremely kind, warm and hospitable. They sent us off with a rich and very tasty breakfast. We regret that we only stayed for one night and hope to come back again someday.

We really loved our stay here! The host family is really friendly and hospitable. We asked them if they could provide us with dinner and breakfast and it exceeded our expectations. They provided us with a delicious home cooked meal and fresh fruits straight from their own garden. Also the rooms were very spacious, clean and comfortable. We had an amazing time and i can only recommend staying here.

We stayed one night here. The hosts are excellent and very responsive. They made excellent breakfast and nutritional along great tea and coffee. They provided rotating fan when we said A/C is not enough. I would say excellent stay and will come back in future. The environment outside is so peaceful and lot of trees.

The smell in the room was a bit unpleasant.

The boys were very helpful and forthcoming. The breakfast was one of the best we had in Sri Lanka. Its not far from Lions Rock and only a 15 min walk to the center. Bathroom was spacious and so was the bedroom.

-When you asked for breakfast for specific time this time only means for them that they start slowlu working on it - so you will get it half hour after the asked time (2/2 days was like this) - it is not a big problem, but in case you have something agreed before it is better to count with it :)

It was very nice and clean. The staff were kind and helpful and tried to help us to rent the scooter. The location was quite good and calm - but to get closer to “village centre” with lot of restaurants and cafes and nice view for the rock you have to take tuk tuk or other transportation (just FYI). Breakfast was good - very standard in Sri lanka - egg toast, butter jam, fruits. One day we got also coconut sambol and rotti.

Charming hotel with a nice garden and terrace. Large clean room and bathroom with fantastic warm shower. Friendly staff and wonderful breakfast. They help with everything, an elephant safari, a good driver, a tuk tuk etc. We had a great stay, highly recommendable!

Rooms are simple, but spacious and incredibly clean. Has all essentials: no kettle, but absolutely not a problem when the manager of the property is serving tea and coffee free. Location, off the main road. Amazing if you like somewhere a bit quieter, away from the tourist hubbub, but still accessible. 20-min walk to the Rock. Some tuk-tuks ask for more to drive them down the back street road. We just asked them to drop us off at the main road entrance and walked from there. Breakfast - sensational. Five stars. Home cooked coconut rotis and hoppers. Fresh, served at your selected time. But now the star of the show: Property Manager, Fernando, is a hospitality king. Waiting up late for us, to greet us with great welcome and ensure we had booked all of our drivers/activities for the next day. Making sure we were getting the best rates for our tours and tuk-tuks. Whatever we needed, Fernando delivered. He even tried to give us back our tip! But he deserved every penny. If you're reading Fernando, sir, thank you so much!!
