The location is in the jungle, but at the same time at walking distance from the restaurants in Sigiriya (in 10/15 minutes you can reach Sigiriya center). The room was big and clean and it is equipped with a fridge too.Bed is comfy, but the best thing is the outside patio were you can relax listening to nature sounds. The owners are super friendly:we have the chance of learning a lot on the area thanks to the botanical lessons with the owner :) The breakfast was delicious: different every day, it consists of freshly sri lankan dishes with an international option as toasted bread with butter/jam. The owner also help us to reach the Sigiriya Rock in the early morning to climb it at sunrise. We hope to come back soon, highly recommended!

It was the best accommodation choice of our long trip through Sri Lanka. The room was extremely clean, comfortable, and well-organized. There was a good shower with warm water and A/C, although to our surprise the ceiling fan at night was enough, it did a good job. The property is run by a lovely family who are very attentive to guests’ needs and requests. The owner is also a professional guide, so you can easily book a tour upon arrival. Breakfast very tasty, freshly cooked, and we really appreciated that we could be flexible with our breakfast time. The location is very convenient, with plenty of restaurants within a short walking distance and a supermarket nearby. It’s also an perfect base for visiting both mountains. Our only small regret was staying just one night in Sigiriya :)

Sunil and Nayana have created a lovely hotel in a great setting in Sigiriya. The room was simply furnished, but the bed very comfortable and there was a big fridge. Breakfast was very good - the hosts are super helpful and Sunil served as our guide when going to Lion’s Rock for sunrise. They are currently adding another level to the apartment building which should be finished very soon. Good luck with the project! Recommend staying at Shady Mango Villa.

It was a cosy house amidst their lush garden. The rooms were clean and contained everything what we needed. We have had a lovely stay here. the villa is expanding and they are adding rooms upstairs. so the next two days of my stay the construction noise started right above my room at 7 a.m.

hosts are amazing! could not have been more kind and helpful. made me feel like home, help and drove to the pidurangala rock, lion rock, organize safari, made a delicious breakfast. rooms are clean and neat, have everything what you need, also can borrow bicycles from the host! the place is supposed to be beautiful and quiet. and it really was on the first day.

Along the road there are plenty of restaurants and shops within walking distance. I had a perfect 3 night stay in Sigiriya! Thank you very much!

Large, well appointed room with a shower that had hot water consistently throughout our stay. A large fridge, shampoo n body wash, extra tissues. The villa is run by a local family who live next door. They are incredibly friendly, give good advice about where to go and provide clean rooms and a great breakfast served in the beautiful garden.

The family that owns this hotel is amazing! They are so incredibly welcoming and helpful, they helped arrange a Polonnaruwa tour, provided free bike rental, and gave tips on nearby hikes. The breakfast every morning was some of the best food we had in Sri Lanka. Room is spacious and clean. Location is 10 minute walk to 'downtown' area, an easy safe walk at night and makes the location feel more quiet and private. Plenty of delicious nearby restaurants. Highly recommend!

The hotel was in a very lovely location, surrounded by nature, which made for a peaceful and relaxing stay. Waking up to the sound of birds in the morning was a great way to start the day. We had a lovely stay. The hosts helped us with tours, made delicious breakfast and were so kind. We had our own patio from which we can see the nature surrounding the cottage. It was truly unique. The room was big and we had so much space! There were also some friendly cats walking around :)
